Pinus‐derived membrane vesicles disrupt pathogenic metabolism in fungi
Needle‐derived vesicles from pine trees impair fungal metabolism and growth, offering a sustainable strategy to control pine pitch canker disease. Abstract Much of what we know about the biological impacts of vesicles (MVs) is derived from Arabidopsis thaliana.

Environmental factors and interactions with mycobiota of grain and grapes: Effects on growth, deoxynivalenol and ochratoxin production by Fusarium culmorum and Aspergillus carbonarius [PDF]
Mycotoxigenic fungi colonizing food matrices are inevitably competing with a wide range of other resident fungi. The outcomes of these interactions are influenced by the prevailing environmental conditions and the competing species.

The final leaf length of maize (Zea mays) was reduced due to the pathogenic fungus Fusarium verticillioides infection as a result of increased expression of miR396 in the elongation zone and decreased expression of miR319 in the mature zone of maize leaves, leading to antagonistic regulation of the expression of the GRF15 and TCP38, respectively ...

Effects of Trichoderma Species on the Growth of Fusarium Verticillioides
Six biocontrol treatments viz., Trichoderma viride, Trichoderma virens, Trichoderma harzianum, T. harzianum + T. viride, T. harzianum + T. virens and T. viride + T. virens were evaluated to test the antagonism against Fusarium verticillioides under in vitro conditions. The maximum growth inhibition (90.6%) was recorded in consortium of T. harzianum + T.

Litsea cubeba essential oil (LCEO) reduces blueberry rot while maintaining quality. It disrupts the cellular structure and membranes of Alternaria alternata, causing solute leakage, while simultaneously inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation and mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) damage in the pathogen.
