Heterotrimeric G-Protein Signalers and RGSs in Aspergillus fumigatus
The heterotrimeric G-protein (G-protein) signaling pathway is one of the most important signaling pathways that transmit external signals into the inside of the cell, triggering appropriate biological responses. The external signals are sensed by various

The Disruption of a Gα Subunit Sheds New Light on the Pathogenicity of Stagonospora nodorum on Wheat
Gna1, a gene encoding a Gα subunit, a key component of signal transduction pathways, has been cloned and characterized in the wheat pathogen Stagonospora nodorum.

ABSTRACT Claudin‐6 has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic target, yet protein‐level data in atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RTs) have been inconsistent. We analyzed 36 well‐characterized AT/RT samples and found membranous claudin‐6 protein expression in 58% of cases, with striking enrichment in the molecular subgroup AT/RT‐TYR (100%) and ...

Role of TAS2R38 polymorphism in respiratory diseases pathogenesis
More and more new data, concerning extraoral bitter taste receptors (TAS2R), appear now. Current data on polymorphisms, expression patterns and form of TAS2R subtype 38 (TAS2R38), its molecular variants that differ in the degrees of sensitivity to ...

ABSTRACT Immune effector cell‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis‐like syndrome (IEC‐HS) is a life‐threatening hyperinflammatory toxicity distinct from cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity following chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapy. In a single‐institution retrospective cohort of pediatric and young adult patients

Tuning Butyrylcholinesterase Inactivation and Reactivation by Polymer‐Based Protein Engineering
Organophosphate nerve agents rapidly inhibit cholinesterases thereby destroying the ability to sustain life. Strong nucleophiles, such as oximes, have been used as therapeutic reactivators of cholinesterase‐organophosphate complexes, but suffer from ...

Interaction of class A G protein-coupled receptors with G proteins.
A model for interaction of class A G protein-coupled receptor with the G protein G(alpha) subunit is proposed using the rhodopsin-transducin (RD/Gt) prototype. The model combines the resolved interactions/distances, essential in the active RD*/Gt system, with the structure of Gt(alpha) C-terminal peptide bound to RD* while stabilizing it.
