Recent advances in GaAs/Ge solar cells [PDF]
By growing the GaAs cell on a Ge substrate, the advantages of GaAs cells can be retained and the higher mechanical strength of the Ge makes larger, thinner GaAs cells possible.

Spin dependent photoelectron tunnelling from GaAs into magnetic Cobalt
The spin dependence of the photoelectron tunnel current from free standing GaAs films into out-of- plane magnetized Cobalt films is demonstrated. The measured spin asymmetry (A) resulting from a change in light helicity, reaches +/- 6% around zero ...

Majority‐Voting Overlapping Method for Error Correction in DNA Data Storage
We propose an overlapping‐based majority‐voting method for DNA data storage error correction. By aligning multiple reads and choosing the most frequent base per position, it suppresses substitution errors without prior models. Validated on synthetic and real sequencing data, it achieves high‐fidelity, scalable, and cost‐effective reconstruction ...

Structural Evolution During Formation and Filling of Self-patterned Nanoholes on GaAs (100) Surfaces
Nanohole formation on an AlAs/GaAs superlattice gives insight to both the “drilling” effect of Ga droplets on AlAs as compared to GaAs and the hole-filling process. The shape and depth of the nanoholes formed on GaAs (100) substrates has been

The newly developed AI‐automated Fast Fourier Transform denoising algorithm surpasses conventional real‐space methods by revealing even light atoms otherwise hidden in noisy backgrounds. Atomic resolution electron microscopy has become an essential tool for many scientific fields, when direct visualization of atomic arrangements and defects is needed ...

Coherent acoustic phonons are generated and optically controlled in bulk WSSe alloy samples using ultrafast spectroscopy. The alloy exhibits a strong coherent acoustic response, which is not an intermediate state between WS? and WSe?. Instead, a much more complex mechanism is proposed.

ABSTRACT This study examines light‐matter interactions in CsFAPb(Br, I)3 perovskite thin films by analyzing their absorption, reflection, and emission properties using Fresnel‐based OPAL2 simulations. The optical spectra show sharp absorption edges at 1.55 – 1.60 eV for CH3NH3PbI3 and triple‐cation perovskites, which blue‐shift to ∼1.8 eV with ...
