The research team integrated a potentiometrically controlled pH electrode with carbon nanotube (CNT) field‐effect transistor (FET) biosensors on a single chip using compatible processes. By employing zonal modification and optimized pH‐sensitive probes, they achieved simultaneous quadruple‐target detection and tenfold reusability under physiological ...

Isonicotinoyl-γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) (IG) and nicotinoyl-GABA (NG), candidate prodrugs of GABA, were assessed by measuring various pharmacological responses such as anticonvulsant effect, prolongation of pentobarbital sleeping time and depressive effect on rearing or ambulation in general behavior, in relation to the GABA level in the mouse brain ...

A wireless‐charging sustained oxygen release from conductive microgels (SOCO) served as an antenna and an on‐demand O2 release for nerve regeneration is developed. Introducing “electromagnetic messenger”, using external alternating magnetic field (AMF) to enhance catalytic oxygen release and electrical stimulation to promote the reconstruction of blood

An Amygdala‐hippocampus Circuit for Endocannabinoid Modulation of Anxiety Avoidance
This study employs three synapse‐specific endocannabinoids (eCB) probes to monitor dynamic eCB release, activate CB1Rs and knockdown 2‐AG biosynthesis enzymes in glutamatergic anterior basolateral amygdala ‐ ventral hippocampus (aBLA–vHPC) circuit. At aBLA–vHPC circuits, activation of CB1Rs reduce anxiety avoidance, and knockdown of eCB biosynthesis ...

Disorders of GABA metabolism: SSADH and GABA-transaminase deficiencies [PDF]
Clinical disorders known to affect inherited gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA) metabolism are autosomal recessively inherited succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase and GABA-transaminase deficiency. The clinical presentation of succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase deficiency includes intellectual disability, ataxia, obsessive-compulsive disorder and epilepsy

Base editing enables precise nucleotide substitutions but limited by bystander editing. This study engineers plant base editors by fusing optimized TadA variants with PAM‐flexible SpRY nickase, enabling A‐to‐G, C‐to‐T, and dual‐base conversions in a highly condensed window (≤3 nucleotides). Additionally, TadDBE (TadA Dual‐Base Editor)‐mediated directed
