Protein design and RNA design: Perspectives
Abstract Advances in deep learning and generative modeling have transformed the landscape of protein and RNA design, enabling rapid and precise creation of novel biomolecules with tailored structures and functions. In protein design, generative deep learning frameworks now support backbone generation, sequence optimization, and joint sequence–structure

Entry and Molecular Regulation of White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) into Crayfish Hpt cell [PDF]

ABSTRACT The role of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (hUCMSC‐EVs) in liver regeneration is promising, yet their clinical translation is hampered by insufficient production. Current strategies targeting their secretion are inefficient and lack a clear mechanistic understanding.

The Zebrafish equivalent of Alzheimer's disease-associated PRESENILIN Isoform PS2V regulates inflammatory and other responses to hypoxic stress [PDF]
Dominant mutations in the PRESENILIN genes PSEN1 and PSEN2 cause familial Alzheimer's disease (fAD) that usually shows onset before 65 years of age. In contrast, genetic variation at the PSEN1 and PSEN2 loci does not appear to contribute to risk for the ...

Abstract TBC (Tre2/Bub2/Cdc16) domain‐containing proteins constitute the widespread family of GTPase‐activating proteins (GAPs). They interact with the Rab superfamily of small GTPases, stimulate GTP hydrolysis, and regulate vesicle trafficking. TBC1D17, involved in Shiga toxin trafficking, autophagy and glucose metabolism regulation, constitutes an ...

Mammalian mitophagy – from in vitro molecules to in vivo models [PDF]
The autophagic turnover of mitochondria, termed mitophagy, is thought to play an essential role in not only maintaining the health of the mitochondrial network, but also that of the cell and organism as a whole. We have come a long way in identifying the

Identification of the GABARAP binding determinant in PI4K2A
Abstract GABARAP is a member of the ATG8 family of ubiquitin-like autophagy related proteins. It was initially discovered as a facilitator of GABA-A receptor translocation to the plasma membrane and has since been shown to promote the intracellular transport of a variety of other proteins under non-autophagic conditions.

Autophagosome formation and cargo sequestration in the absence of LC3/GABARAPs [PDF]
It has been widely assumed that Atg8 family LC3/GABARAP proteins are essential for the formation of autophagosomes during macroautophagy/autophagy, and the sequestration of cargo during selective autophagy. However, there is little direct evidence on the functional contribution of these proteins to autophagosome biogenesis in mammalian cells.
