Feasibility of Comprehensive Genomic Profiling for Biliary Tract Cancer Using Transpapillary Biopsy Samples: A Prospective Study

open access: yesJournal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, EarlyView.
Graphical summary of the study design, intervention, and outcomes. ABSTRACT Background Patients with biliary tract cancer (BTC) often have actionable mutations, and comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) plays an important role. However, the feasibility of CGP using transpapillary biopsy (TPB) samples remains unclear.

Meta-analysis of the diagnostic performance of serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9 for the detection of gallbladder cancer

open access: yesThe International Journal of Biological Markers, 2022
Introduction Carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is a well-studied tumor marker, yet its diagnostic value for gallbladder cancer remains unclear. The present meta-analysis was conducted to validate the role of serum CA19-9 for the detection of gallbladder

Localized Adenomyomatosis of Gallbladder Mimicking Advanced Hepatic Flexure Colon Cancer: A Case Report

open access: yes대한영상의학회지, 2018
Localized forms of gallbladder adenomyomatosis are rarely polypoid and may mimic gallbladder cancer. Herein, we present a unique case of polypoid gallbladder adenomyomatosis penetrating the colon and preoperatively misdiagnosed as advanced hepatic ...

Comparison Between Respiratory‐Triggered and Free‐Breathing Signal Acquisition Methods for Single‐Voxel Phosphorus Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy of the Liver on a Clinical System

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The optimal protocol for clinical liver 31P‐magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) remains unclear. Single‐voxel 31P‐MRS using image‐selected in vivo spectroscopy (ISIS) employs respiratory‐triggering (RT) or free‐breathing (FB) acquisition.

Endoscopic small bowel therapies for type 2 diabetes

open access: yesNutrition in Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Type 2 diabetes is a global epidemic despite current medical treatments. Many patients are not responsive to medications, and patients with obesity are hesitant about bariatric surgery. Studies investigating the metabolic effects of Roux‐en‐Y gastric bypass have increasingly demonstrated that the duodenum plays a key role in the ...

R3Net: Recursive Residual Refinement Network Architecture for Decoder‐Free Medical Image Segmentation

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
We propose R3Net, a decoder‐free medical image segmentation framework that recursively refines multiscale representations within the encoder using residual pathways. R3Net achieves competitive accuracy with reduced model complexity and improved computational efficiency across multiple medical imaging modalities.
