Artificial Organs, EarlyView.Extracorporeal albumin dialysis (OPAL) effectively reduces bilirubin and improves other laboratory markers in posthepatectomy liver failure, particularly in secondary forms. It may serve as a bridging therapy to support hepatic recovery in critically ill patients, although prospective studies are needed to confirm its impact on survival.

Cancer Science, EarlyView.Bile‐derived exosomal miR‐196a and miR‐196b are identified as novel biomarkers for biliary tract cancer.
