Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Comparative Study on Amylose Content, Alkali Spreading and Gel Consistency of Rice.
The rice grain quality characteristics of 86 varieties from China, Japan, Korea and the Philippines were tested and found to be country- or region-specific to some extent. Analysis indicated that low amylose content, low gelatinization temperature and soft gel consistency were characteristics of Japanese varieties.

物理ゲルでも化学ゲルでもない第3のゲル, トポロジカルゲルは8の字架橋点で空間的 (位相幾何学的) な拘束により架橋する新しい高分子ゲルである. 大分子量のポリエチレングリコールに環状オリゴ糖であるシクロデキストリンが疎に充填されたポリロタキサンにおいて, シクロデキストリンどうしを8の字型に化学架橋して得られる. 環状分子が線状高分子に貫かれた状態で動くため環動ゲルとも呼ぶ. 8の字架橋点は高分子を自由に通して張力を均等に分配する, すなわち線状高分子に対して滑車のように振る舞う機能「滑車効果」をもつと考えられる. 実際のトポロジカルゲルは初期弾性率が特に小さく, また大変形に耐えて良く伸びる.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.
