CRISPR-Cas9-based one-step multiplexed genome editing through optimizing guide RNA processing strategies in Pichia pastoris

open access: yesSynthetic and Systems Biotechnology
The important methylotrophic yeast Pichia pastoris has been utilized for the production of a variety of heterologous recombinant proteins and has great potential for use in the production of value-added compounds using methanol as a substrate.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Some blood biochemical indices of mice with pttg gene knockout

open access: yes, 2011
Liver injury of any etiology is accompanied by increased fibrogenesis. One of the key genes that may influence in the development of liver fibrosis, is pttg gene (Pituitary tumor transforming gene).

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

open access: yesZhongguo aizheng zazhi, 2019
Background and purpose: CNC-bZIP is a leucine zipper structure near the carboxyl terminal of homo sapiens nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (NRF2), which is necessary for DNA binding, and associated with NRF2 dimerization partners and the small
