The impact of gene expression variation on the robustness and evolvability of a developmental gene regulatory network. [PDF]
Regulatory interactions buffer development against genetic and environmental perturbations, but adaptation requires phenotypes to change. We investigated the relationship between robustness and evolvability within the gene regulatory network underlying ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Probabilistic representation of gene regulatory networks [PDF]
Abstract Motivation: Recent experiments have established unambiguously that biological systems can have significant cell-to-cell variations in gene expression levels even in isogenic populations. Computational approaches to studying gene expression in cellular systems should capture such biological variations for a more realistic ...

AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Failed "nonaccelerating" models of prokaryote gene regulatory networks
Much current network analysis is predicated on the assumption that important biological networks will either possess scale free or exponential statistics which are independent of network size allowing unconstrained network growth over time. In this paper,

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Modelling Gene Regulatory Networks
This thesis presents the results of mathematical modeling of both individual genes and small networks of genes. The regulation of gene activity is essential for the proper functioning of cells, which employ a variety of molecular mechanisms to control gene expression.

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
