Therapeutic Immune Reprogramming by Rapamycin Attenuates Plaque Inflammation and Lymphoid Immune Responses in Aged Atherosclerotic Mice

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
Rapamycin exerts multifaceted immunomodulatory effects in age‐induced atherosclerosis, with pronounced inhibitory effects on adaptive immunity. Rapamycin reduced plaque inflammation and macrophage content, diminished pro‐inflammatory T cell responses, lowered age‐associated B cell frequencies, and attenuated senescence‐associated immune signatures ...

Ghrelin Alleviates Aging‐Related Cognitive Impairment by Regulating Autophagy‐Related Signaling via the SHBG/JNK1/Beclin1 Axis in Microglia

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 10, October 2026.
This study found that aging‐related cognitive impairment is accompanied by hippocampal microglial senescence. Ghrelin suppresses microglial senescence by promoting autophagy through the SHBG/JNK1/Beclin1 axis, thereby alleviating aging‐related cognitive impairment. The graphical abstract was drawn using the Figdraw.

Cytogenetic Diversity of Variant Philadelphia Translocations in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Laboratory Hematology, Volume 48, Issue 5, Page 1103-1112, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a disease characterized by Philadelphia (Ph) translocations. These translocations can be classical or variant. The structural features and diagnostic implications of variant Philadelphia translocations remain incompletely defined, and they display considerable cytogenetic heterogeneity. Methods In

Traditional Chinese Medicine Formulas in Delaying Aging: From Theoretical Foundations to Molecular Mechanisms and Translational Perspectives

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 19, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Aging is a systemic decline in physiological integrity, driving chronic diseases such as neurodegeneration, cardiovascular disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Rapid global population aging urgently demands effective interventions. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulas, characterized by multi‐component, multi‐target, and multi‐pathway ...

Metastasis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast to the Uterine Cervix 30 Years Post‐Mastectomy: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research, Volume 52, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Metastasis of invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast to the uterine cervix is rare, with only one report of a case occurring more than 20 years after the primary surgery. A 69‐year‐old woman presented with abnormal uterine cervical cytology (atypical glandular cells without tumor diathesis) 30 years after undergoing breast cancer surgery ...
