The genus Sarcocystis is an abundant group of Apicomplexa parasites found in mammals, birds, and reptiles. These parasites are characterised by the formation of sarcocysts in the muscles of intermediate hosts and the development of sporocysts in the ...

Identification of genetic subtypes in follicular lymphoma
Follicular lymphoma (FL) exhibits considerable variability in biological features and clinical trajectories across patients. To dissect the diversity of FL, we utilized a Bernoulli mixture model to identify genetic subtypes in 713 pre-treatment tumor tissue samples.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

hybrids. Furthermore, discrepancies between the morphological and genetic identification were observed, demonstrating the effectiveness of using different molecular markers for the correct identification of these hybrids.

Molecular identification and phylogenetic analysis of Vibrio harveyi strains isolated from Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei Boone, 1931) in Tiab region, Hormozgan province [PDF]
In this research Vibrio harveyi strains were isolated and identified from hepatopancreas of Litopenaeus vannamei from Tiab region, Hormozgan province. Shrimps samples were collected from five different ponds in northern and southern Tiab shrimp culture ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

SNPs in SIDS: histologic, environmental and genetic factors of sudden infant death in the Netherlands [PDF]
SNPs in SIDS is a research project into the histologic, environmental and genetic risk factors of sudden infant death syndrome in the Netherlands. By identifying risk factors for SIDS preventive measures can be taken, such as education of the parents or ...
