Analysis of parapoxvirus genomes
Archives of Virology, 1985Eight stomatitis papulosa (SP), four orf and two milker's nodes (MN) virus isolates were compared by restriction enzyme analysis. Considerable genetic heterogeneity was found not only between isolates belonging to the three different taxonomic groups but also between members of the same group.

Genome-Wide Methylation Analysis
2012The disruption and alteration of genomic methylation patterns is a hallmark of cancer and other disease states. Understanding and characterizing genome-wide methylation will have a profound effect on our understanding of tumorigenesis and provide novel avenues for therapy.

GENOME-WIDE ANALYSIS AND COMPARATIVE GENOMICS
Biocomputing 2002, 2001One of the key developments in biology during the past decade has been the completion of the sequencing of a number of key organisms, ranging from organisms with short genomes, such as various bacteria, to important model organisms such as Drosophila Melanogaster, and of course the human genome.

Cancer Genome Analysis Informatics
2010The analysis of cancer genomes has benefited from the advances in technology that enable data to be generated on an unprecedented scale, describing a tumour genome's sequence and composition at increasingly high resolution and reducing cost. This progress is likely to increase further over the coming years as next-generation sequencing approaches are ...

Comparative Genomic Analysis Using the UCSC Genome Browser
2007Comparative analysis of DNA sequence from multiple species can provide insights into the function and evolutionary processes that shape genomes. The University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) Genome Bioinformatics group has developed several tools and methodologies in its study of comparative genomics, many of which have been incorporated into the UCSC

Genomic Southern Blot Analysis
2013This chapter describes a detailed protocol for genomic Southern blot analysis which can be used to detect transgene or endogenous gene sequences in cereal genomes. The protocol follows a standard approach that has been shown to generate high-quality results: size fractionation of genomic DNA; capillary transfer to a nylon membrane; hybridization with a

Genomic analysis of whole-genome resequencing
Whole-genome resequencing data were generated to characterize the genetic diversity, population structure, and selective sweeps of the Wannan Yellow-feathered chicken, a representative Chinese indigenous breed. The project provides genomic insights into breed differentiation and establishes a SNP panel for accurate breed identification and conservationopenaire +1 more source
