Evaluation of Culture Conditions for Tannase Production by Aspergillus niger GH1

open access: yesFood Technology and Biotechnology, 2006
Extra- and intracellular tannase production by Aspergillus niger GH1 has been evaluated using submerged (SmF) and solid-state fermentation (SSF) at different temperatures (30, 40 and 50 °C).

The Evolution of Glycoside Hydrolase Family 1 in Insects Related to Their Adaptation to Plant Utilization

open access: yesInsects, 2022
Insects closely interact with plants with multiple genes involved in their interactions. β-glucosidase, constituted mainly by glycoside hydrolase family 1 (GH1), is a crucial enzyme in insects to digest plant cell walls and defend against natural enemies

Inhibition mechanisms of secretome proteins from Paenibacillus polymyxa Kp10 and Lactococcus lactis Gh1 against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus

open access: yesAsian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine, 2022
Objective: To determine the inhibition mechanisms of secretome protein extracted from Paenibacillus polymyxa Kp10 (Kp10) and Lactococcus lactis Gh1 (Gh1) against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus ...

p.R209H GH1 variant challenges short stature assessment [PDF]

open access: yesGrowth Hormone & IGF Research, 2020
to describe the marked variability in clinical and biochemical patterns that are associated with a p.R209H GH1 missense variant in a large Argentinean pedigree, which makes the diagnosis of GHD elusive. We describe a non-consanguineous pedigree composed by several individuals with short stature, including 2 pediatric patients with typical diagnosis of ...

Molecular detection of selected genetic polymorphisms in growth hormone and insulin like growth factor 1 genes in indigenous sudanese baggara cattle [PDF]

open access: yesKafkas Universitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Dergisi, 2018
The study involved 127 bulls of two geographically separate strains of Sudanese Baggara zebu cattle (Nyalawi and Mesairi). The target was to investigate two polymorphisms in growth hormone gene (M57764) and insulin like growth factor1 gene (000162.1 ...

Biocontrol of the causal brown patch pathogen Rhizoctonia solani by Bacillus velezensis GH1-13 and development of a bacterial strain specific detection method

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2023
Brown patch caused by the basidiomycete fungus Rhizoctonia solani is an economically important disease of cool-season turfgrasses. In order to manage the disease, different types of fungicides have been applied, but the negative impact of fungicides on ...

Dwarfism and Increased Adiposity in the gh1 Mutant Zebrafish vizzini [PDF]

open access: yesEndocrinology, 2013
AbstractSomatic growth and adipogenesis are closely associated with the development of obesity in humans. In this study, we identify a zebrafish mutant, vizzini, that exhibits both a severe defect in somatic growth and increased accumulation of adipose tissue. Positional cloning of vizzini revealed a premature stop codon in gh1. Although the effects of

Structural basis for glucose tolerance in GH1 β-glucosidases [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section D Biological Crystallography, 2014
Product inhibition of β-glucosidases (BGs) by glucose is considered to be a limiting step in enzymatic technologies for plant-biomass saccharification. Remarkably, some β-glucosidases belonging to the GH1 family exhibit unusual properties, being tolerant to, or even stimulated by, high glucose concentrations.

The relation of GH1, GHR and DGAT1 polymorphisms with estimated breeding values for milk production traits of German Holstein sires

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2008
: We analysed the relations of estimated breeding values (EBV) of 315 German Holstein sires to their genotypes in growth hormone gene (GH1), growth hormone receptor gene (GHR) and acylCoA-diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1).

Isolated growth hormone deficiency in a Chihuahua with a GH1 mutation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Diagnostic Investigation, 2020
A 6-mo-old female Chihuahua was presented with recurrent episodes of hypoglycemia and collapse. Physical examination revealed proportionate dwarfism, retained puppy hair coat, retained deciduous teeth, and open fontanelles. Routine blood tests revealed hypoglycemia, thrombocytosis, hypoproteinemia, and elevated alkaline phosphatase activity.
