Optimization of accelerated water extraction for ginger bioactive compounds [PDF]

open access: yes2015 10th Asian Control Conference (ASCC), 2015
This paper investigated the optimum recovery of ginger bioactive compounds (6-, 8-, 10-gingerols and 6-shogaol) based on semi-batch and batch systems in accelerated water extraction. The optimum is determined based on peak value i.e optimum recovery of batch system to semi-batch.

Effects of ginger extract and/or propolis extract on immune system parameters of vaccinated broilers

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2023
Newcastle disease (ND), avian influenza (AI, H5N8), and infectious bronchitis (IB) are important diseases in the poultry industry and cause significant losses. Vaccination is the most practical method for controlling infectious diseases. To reduce vaccination costs and several disorders in poultry farms, using herbal water supplements for ...

Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

Self‐Sustaining Lactate Depletion Nanoplatform Remodels Tumor Microenvironment and Augments Synergistic Photodynamic/Photothermal/Chemodynamic/Starvation Therapy for Eradication of Colon Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The HILA nanoplatform integrates HMnO2, LOX, and ICG to orchestrate multimodal therapy (starvation, chemodynamic, photodynamic, and photothermal) for achieving efficient colon cancer eradication. The established HMnO2‐LOX catalytic cycle continuously consumes lactate, acidifys microenvironment, relieves hypoxia, and generats reactive oxygen species ...

Stabilization of PUFA‐Rich Mayonnaise Against Lipid Oxidation: A Review of the Last Three Decades of Research

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mayonnaise, a widely consumed oil‐in‐water emulsion, is highly susceptible to lipid oxidation due to its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and the presence of pro‐oxidant factors such as low pH and iron from egg yolk. Over the past three decades, extensive research has focused on understanding oxidation mechanisms, analytical
