Ginsenoside Rh2 regulates triple-negative breast cancer proliferation and apoptosis via the IL-6/JAK2/STAT3 pathway

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
IntroductionTriple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most challenging subtype of breast cancer to treat. While previous studies have demonstrated that ginsenoside Rh2 induces apoptosis in TNBC cells, the specific molecular targets and underlying ...

Biomaterial‐Integrated Electroporation for Therapeutic Delivery: From Gene Editing to Tumor Ablation and Immune Modulation

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
Biomaterial‐integrated electroporation establishes a programmable therapeutic interface that coordinates electric‐field modulation, transient or irreversible membrane permeabilization, cargo stabilization, and immune remodeling. This Review highlights how nanocarriers, hydrogels, and bioelectronic interfaces expand electroporation from conventional ...

Exploratory Analysis of Biomarkers Predictive or Reflective of Ninjin'yoeito Efficacy in Patients With Loss of Appetite or Apathy Attributable to Dementia

open access: yesTraditional &Kampo Medicine, Volume 13, Issue 2, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim This study explored biomarkers related to patient characteristics and the efficacy of Ninjin'yoeito (NYT), a traditional Japanese Kampo medicine, by conducting omics (metabolomic and microbiomic) analyses of plasma and stool samples obtained during a randomized controlled trial targeting anorexia and apathy in patients with dementia ...

Gasdermin‐Mediated Pyroptosis: Novel Strategies Against Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 8, Page 2064-2084, August 2026.
Pyroptosis is a double‐edged sword in colorectal cancer (CRC): chronic low‐grade pyroptosis promotes tumor progression, whereas acute induction of pyroptosis in cancer cells triggers antitumor immunity and enhances therapeutic response. Targeting gasdermin‐mediated pyroptosis represents a promising strategy for CRC treatment.
