Stochastic Bilevel Program for Optimal Coordinated Energy Trading of an EV Aggregator

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Gradually replacing fossil-fueled vehicles in the transport sector with Electric Vehicles (EVs) may help ensure a sustainable future. With regard to the charging electric load of EVs, optimal scheduling of EV batteries, controlled by an aggregating agent,

Optimality condition and algorithm with deviation integral for global optimization

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2009
The paper is located to the field of global optimization, with a meaning also for nonsmooth and discontinuous optimization theory. The studied minimization problems are unconstrained and in a topological space setting. In fact, many real-world problems can be studied by the technique presented in the paper.

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Conditions for global optimality of quadratic minimization problems with LMI constraints

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we present sufficient conditions for global optimality of non-convex quadratic programs involving linear matrix inequality (LMI) cnstraints. Our approach makes use of the concept of a quadratic subgradient.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

A Convex Optimization Algorithm for Electricity Pricing of Charging Stations

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2019
The problem of electricity pricing for charging stations is a multi-objective mixed integer nonlinear programming. Existing algorithms have low efficiency in solving this problem.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

A Semidefinite Programming Approach for Harmonic Balance Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The harmonic balance method is broadly employed for analyzing and predicting the periodic steady-state solution. Most of the traditional methods in the literature do not guarantee global optimality. Due to its nonconvexity, it is a complex task to find a

Some optimality conditions in multiobjective programming

open access: yes, 1997
One of the aim of this paper is to introduce new classes of vector generalized concave functions and to point out their role in investigating local and global efficiency and in establishing sufficient optimality conditions for a vector optimization ...
