This study investigated genetic determinants of the pharmacokinetics of the CYP2C8 index drugs repaglinide and gemfibrozil, and their interaction in healthy participants. Sequencing data from a study with montelukast revealed a novel functional CYP2C8 allele (rs2071426, CYP2C8*19), predicted to create an intronic splice donor site.

Synthesis of urolithin A 3- and 8-glucuronides via intramolecular biaryl coupling
Urolithins, 6H-dibenzo[b,d]pyran-6-one derivatives, are metabolites produced by gut microbiota from ellagic acid, a natural antioxidant. They are more efficiently absorbed than ellagic acid and contribute to the health benefits of ellagitannin-rich foods.

Investigations Into the Metabolism and Elimination of Tesofensine in Human Urine
This study investigated tesofensine metabolism and urinary elimination after a single 483 μg intake via a dietary supplement. In six volunteers, urine was collected up to 659 h. LC‐HRMS/MS identified four tentative metabolites; maximum urinary concentrations reached 4 ng/mL within 4–48 h.

Higher uEtG results indicated more recent drinking, rather than higher levels of alcohol consumption, and the period of detection of uEtG was shorter than previously reported. Even at low cutoffs, uEtG was best conceptualized as a measure of alcohol consumption in the prior 24 h.
