Integration of Spatiotemporal Multi‐Omics in Peach Fruit Unravels a Metabolic Niche and the Genetic Basis of Trichome‐Mediated Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study constructed the first spatiotemporal multi‐omics map of peach fruit and discovered a key candidate gene that synergistically regulates trichome development and drought tolerance through the jasmonic acid signaling pathway, providing insights into the coupling mechanism between development and stress resistance.

Hepatotoxicity Induced by Sophora flavescens and Hepatic Accumulation of Kurarinone, a Major Hepatotoxic Constituent of Sophora flavescens in Rats

open access: yesMolecules, 2017
Our previous study showed that kurarinone was the main hepatotoxic ingredient of Sophora flavescens, accumulating in the liver. This study characterized the mechanism of Sophora flavescens extract (ESF) hepatotoxicity and hepatic accumulation of ...

Natural Variation of NAR5 Determines Nitrogenase Activity and the Yield in Soybean

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identified NAR5, a gene encoding a subtilisin‐like protease, that regulates nitrogenase activity in soybean nodules. Overexpressing NAR5 delayed nodule senescence, enhancing nitrogenase activity, yield, and low‐nitrogen tolerance. The elite haplotype NAR5HapI‐1 linked to superior nitrogenase activity and greater seed weight has been ...

Heterojunction‐Engineered Mass Spectrometry Platform for Deciphering Serum Metabolic Fingerprints in Diagnosis of Respiratory Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hollow Co3O4/TiO2 heterojunctions are engineered for high‐throughput laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry. The built‐in electric field drives efficient charge separation and photothermal conversion, while the hierarchical mesoporous network enables robust salt and protein tolerance.

Curcumin Glucuronides: Assessing the Proliferative Activity against Human Cell Lines

open access: yesBioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2013
A gram scale synthesis of the glucuronide metabolites of curcumin were completed in four steps. The newly synthesized curcumin glucuronide compounds 2 and 3 along with curcumin 1 were tested and their anti-proliferative effects against KBM-5, Jurkat cell,

Treatment and removal strategies for estrogens from wastewater [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Natural and synthetic steroidal estrogens (estrone, 17β-estradiol and 17α-ethinylestradiol) are endocrine disrupters, that are discharged consistently from the sewage treatment works into surface waters, thereby causing endocrine disrupting effects to ...

Regioselective Glucuronidation of Diosmetin and Chrysoeriol by the Interplay of Glucuronidation and Transport in UGT1A9-Overexpressing HeLa Cells.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
This study aimed to determine the reaction kinetics of the regioselective glucuronidation of diosmetin and chrysoeriol, two important methylated metabolites of luteolin, by human liver microsomes (HLMs) and uridine-5'-diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase (
