Evaluation of glutathione S-transferase Pi in non-invasive ductal carcinoma of breast

open access: yes, 2015
Glutathione S-transferase Pi (GST P) has been reported to be a marker of dysplastic lesions. For this reason expression of GST P by intraduct breast carcinoma was evaluated by immunohistochemistry. Thirty-seven of 92 carcinomas (40%) were GST P positive.

Glutathione-Dependent Pathways of Refolding of RNase T1 by Oxidation and Disulfide Isomerization:  Catalysis by Protein Disulfide Isomerase,

open access: yes, 2016
Protein folding, associated with oxidation and isomerization of disulfide bonds, was studied using reduced and denatured RNase T1 (rd-RNase T1) and mixed disulfide between glutathione and reduced RNase T1 (GS-RNase T1) as starting materials.

Nanomaterial Integration at Liquid–Liquid Interfaces for Green Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Functional nanomaterials assembled at liquid–liquid interfaces create dual‐role platforms serving as emulsion stabilizers and catalytic sites, offering enhanced reaction kinetics with improved catalyst recovery and recyclability. This review examines design strategies, structure‐performance relationships, and industrial implementation prospects of ...

Unraveling the Potential Role of Glutathione in Multiple Forms of Cell Death in Cancer Therapy

open access: yesOxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, 2019
Glutathione is the principal intracellular antioxidant buffer against oxidative stress and mainly exists in the forms of reduced glutathione (GSH) and oxidized glutathione (GSSG).

Microglial glutathione and glutamate: regulation mechanisms

open access: yes, 2009
Microglia, the immune cells of the central nervous system (CNS), are important in the protection of the CNS, but may be implicated in the pathogenesis of neuroinflammatory disease.

Plasmodium spp. membrane glutathione S-transferases: detoxification units and drug targets

open access: yes, 2014
Membrane glutathione S-transferases from the class of membrane-associated proteins in eicosanoid and glutathione metabolism (MAPEG) form a superfamily of detoxification enzymes that catalyze the conjugation of reduced glutathione (GSH) to a broad ...

Glutathione-Responsive Biodegradable CoreShell Nanoparticles That Self-Generate H2O2 and Deliver Doxorubicin for ChemoChemodynamic Therapy

open access: yes, 2022
As a kind of reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated cancer therapy modality, chemodynamic therapy (CDT) has been extensively explored. However, the insufficient endogenous H2O2 and the intracellular redox homeostasis greatly obstruct the anticancer ...

Synchronizing Tunable Luminescence and Shape Morphing in a Metal Nanocluster–Enabled Hydrogel Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A nanocluster–gel platform is developed to synchronously integrate tunable luminescence and shape morphing under a single stimulus, with emission programmability encoded through cluster size modulation (Au10 → Au18). Solvent‐induced shape–optical transitions are visualized in a lotus‐shaped gel that dynamically folds and dims, enabling rapid (< 5 s ...

Researches on Glutathione

open access: yesJournal of the agricultural chemical society of Japan, 1951

Dietary Strawberries Improve Serum Antioxidant Profiles in Adults with Prediabetes: A 28-Week Randomized Controlled Crossover Trial

open access: yesAntioxidants
Prediabetes increases oxidative stress and the risk of type 2 diabetes and related cardiovascular diseases. Previous trials have shown antioxidant-rich strawberries improve this risk, but effects on antioxidant markers are inconclusive.
