ABSTRACT Our article investigates the impact of vertical integration (without foreclosure) on innovation. We compare cases where either (i) two manufacturers or (ii) a manufacturer and a vertically integrated retailer invest. Then, the independent manufacturer(s) and the retailer bargain over nonlinear contracts before selling to consumers.

Transcriptional adapter ADA2 regulates yield and end‐use quality through liquid–liquid phase separation in wheat

The transcriptional adapter ADA2 interacts with the histone acetyltransferase GCN5 to regulate starch and storage protein content in wheat grains through histone acetylation. ADA2 undergoes phase separation and is modulated by GCN5, affecting histone acetyltransferase activity and gene transcription.

Effects of Meal Consumption on Isotonic Lingual Endurance in Healthy Adults: A Multi‐Institutional Study

Isotonic tongue endurance was measured pre‐ and post‐meal using the Iowa Oral Performance Instrument (IOPI) in healthy younger (18–35 years) and older (≥ 65 years) adults. Older adults demonstrated greater isotonic endurance and longer mealtimes, with no sex differences in endurance.
