Therapeutic effects of glyprolines (PGP, GP, and PG) in rats with stress-induced behavioral disorders

Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 2007
Experiments on male outbred albino rats showed that stress (10-min swimming) increased anxiety and inhibited orientation and exploratory activities. Poststress (15 min after the end of swimming) intranasal administration of peptides Pro-Gly-Pro and Gly-Pro in a dose of 3.7 micromol/kg prevented stress-induced behavioral disorders. This effect persisted

In vitro lipid-lowering and fibrinolytic effects of regulatory leucine-containing glyprolines in human blood

Biology Bulletin, 2015
The lipid-lowering, fibrinolytic, and anticoagulant effects of leucine-containing glyprolines, Pro-Gly-Pro-Leu and Leu-Pro-Gly-Pro, were studied in vitro in the blood of patients with disorders of lipid metabolism. The lipid-lowering impact of glyprolines and their ability to reduce the polymerization and to increase the depolymerization of fibrin in ...

Аnticoagulation Effects of Leucine-Containing Glyprolines in Hypercoagulation

Biology Bulletin, 2023
The effects of two leucine-containing glyproline peptides Leu-Pro-Gly-Pro and Pro-Gly-Pro-Leu, including leucine from the N- and C-ends of the molecules, on the parameters of platelet (primary) and plasma hemostasis were studied. Peptides were administered intranasally for 5 days at a daily dose of 500 mcg/kg of body weight under conditions of ...

Molecular modelling of Pro-Gly glyproline and its complexes

Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta, Seriya 3: Fizika, Astronomiya, 2023
In the present work, Pro-Gly glyproline and its biologically active complexes with heparin and with the antithrombin-heparin protein complex have been studied using molecular modelling methods. This molecule is used as a drug and exhibits antithrombotic, anticoagulant immunomodulatory, antiulcer, and antidiabetic effects. The conformational profiles of

The synthesis and study of simple glyprolines

Neurochemical Journal, 2016
We validated the structure and performed synthesis of eight new peptides that are analogues of proglyprol, with the common formula of Pro(X)-A-Pro(Y). Here we present data on the molecular ligand-receptor activity of these peptide compounds; in particular, we present data on their ability to compete with the tripepetide Pro-Gly-Pro for specific binding

Participation of Nitric Oxide in the Realization of Hemostatic Effects of Glyproline Peptides

Doklady Biochemistry and Biophysics, 2022
The involvement of nitric oxide in the responses of the hemostasis system to the appearance of proline-containing peptides in the blood was studied in experiments on rats. It was shown that a single intranasal administration of peptides PGP, RPGP, and PGPL to rats led to an increase in fibrinolytic, anticoagulant, and antiplatelet potential of blood ...

Deuterium labeling of glyprolines by isotope exchange

Doklady Chemistry, 2016
Deuterium-labeled 5-oxo-Pro-Arg-Pro, 5-oxo-Pro-His-Pro-Gly-Pro-NH2, and Phe-Pro-LeuPro-Ala were synthesized. The effect of the method of peptide deposition on the catalyst, the catalyst nature, temperature, and structure of peptides on the inclusion of deuterium with the formation of the appropriate number of isotopomers was demonstrated. The 5-oxo-Pro-

STRUCTURAL ORGANIZATION OF THE GLYPROLINE HEXAPEPTIDE MOLECULE

Russian Journal of Biological Physics and Chemisrty
Computer modeling based on the use of the method of theoretical conformational analysis and programs that allow obtaining a graphic image of the spatial structures of biomolecules was performed for a hexapeptide molecule – glyproline H-Phe-Gly-Gly-Phe-Gly-Pro-OH.

Effect of Glyprolines on Norepinephrine Tone of Isolated Rat Aortic Rings

Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 2003
Glyprolines, short proline-containing peptides (Pro-Gly-Pro, Pro-Gly, and Gly-Pro) in concentrations of 10(-8)-10(-4) M decreased norepinephrine tone of the isolated rat aortic rings. The vasodilatory effect of Pro-Gly-Pro and Pro-Gly was associated with NO release from endotheliocytes, while Gly-Pro directly affected vascular smooth muscle cells.
