Osteoclastic potential of human CFU-GM: biphasic effect of GM-CSF

open access: yes, 2004
UNLABELLED: Human osteoclasts can be efficiently generated in vitro from cord blood mononuclear cells and derived CFU-GM colonies. However, CFU-M colonies are poorly osteoclastogenic.

ESCRT‐Mimetic Nanodegrader Targets STING for Anti‐Inflammatory Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nanoplatform‐enabled targeted protein degradation strategy is presented to regulate aberrant STING signaling. STING‐ATTEC induces selective autophagic degradation of STING via formation of a STING–ATTEC–LC3 ternary complex, while the cationic FA‐LNP+ system enhances LC3 generation and targeted delivery. Together, this synergistic approach efficiently

Image_3_Cxxc Finger Protein 1 Positively Regulates GM-CSF-Derived Macrophage Phagocytosis Through Csf2rα-Mediated Signaling.tif

open access: yes, 2018
Macrophages have a defensive function against bacteria through phagocytosis and the secretion of cytokines. Histone modifications play an essential role in macrophage functions.

GM-CSF promotes pro-inflammatory macrophage activation associated with Akt/mTOR signaling during experimental colitis

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundUlcerative colitis (UC) is an intestinal immune disorder of unknown etiology. Mounting evidence reveals a central role of macrophages in the hemostatic balance of gut immunity, and dysfunctional macrophages are associated with UC pathogenesis ...

Multi‐Omics Profiling Reveals Immunomodulatory and Pro‐Regenerative Effects of a Graphene Oxide–Collagen Scaffold in Massive Rotator Cuff Tears

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A graphene oxide/collagen scaffold is developed for chronic massive rotator cuff tear repair. The scaffold improves compressive stability, supports reparative mesenchymal differentiation, and modulates the immune microenvironment. In chronic MRCT models, it reduces muscle degeneration, enhances tendon–bone regeneration, and improves functional recovery,

Tofacitinib inhibits granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation in human neutrophils

open access: yesArthritis Research & Therapy, 2018
Background Granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) has emerged as a crucial cytokine that activates myeloid cells to initiate tissue inflammation.

Tumor‐Intrinsic ARHGEF3 Enhances Antitumor Immunity by Promoting T‐Cell Infiltration and Limiting Myeloid Cell‐Mediated Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARHGEF3 is broadly downregulated across human cancers and correlates with patient prognosis. Tumor‐intrinsic ARHGEF3 activates the RHOA–ROCK–PTEN cascade to inhibit AKT signaling, thereby promoting chemokine‐driven T‐cell infiltration and relieving lipid‐mediated myeloid immunosuppression.

GM-CSF-secreting melanoma vaccines [PDF]

open access: yesOncogene, 2003
The development of biochemical and genetic schemes to characterize cancer antigens led to the recognition that malignant melanoma frequently evokes a host response. While the generation of brisk T-cell infiltrates in early stage disease is correlated with prolonged survival, host reactions in most cases are insufficient to impede tumor progression. One
