Current Approaches to the Abnormal Toxicity Test
For over 60 years, the Abnormal Toxicity Test (ATT) has been used as an important tool in safety control of some parenteral and veterinary products made from biological materials.

To be GMP or not to be– a radionuclide’s question
Radionuclides are the essential component of radiopharmaceuticals, their production needs to consider pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, also for clinical research applications. In this paper we reflect on the pharmaceutical regulatory landscape for radionuclide production in Europe, with a focus on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

MicroRNAs affecting the susceptibility of melanoma cells to CD8+ T cell‐mediated cytolysis
Background The regulatory functions of microRNAs (miRNAs) in anti‐tumour immunity have been mainly described in immune effector cells. Since little is known about miRNA effects on the susceptibility of target cells during T cell—target cell interaction ...

Inner-gMP and gMP-inner inverses
Solving some systems of operator equations, new kinds of generalized inverses are introduced. Since these new inverses can be expressed by inner and gMP inverses, they are called inner-gMP and gMP-inner inverses. In this way, the concepts of gMP, 1MP and MP1 inverses are generalized.

The exopolysaccharide gene cluster Bcam1330-Bcam1341 is involved in Burkholderia cenocepacia biofilm formation, and its expression is regulated by c-di-GMP and Bcam1349 [PDF]
In Burkholderia cenocepacia, the second messenger cyclic diguanosine monophosphate (c-di-GMP) has previously been shown to positively regulate biofilm formation and the expression of cellulose and type-I fimbriae genes through binding to the ...

STING is a direct innate immune sensor of cyclic-di-GMP
The innate immune system detects infection by using germline-encoded receptors that are specific for conserved microbial molecules. The recognition of microbial ligands leads to the production of cytokines, such as type I interferons (IFNs), that are ...

Structural biology of bacterial response regulator proteins and their complexes with cognate ligands [PDF]
Two bacterial response regulator systems were studied in this thesis. NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography were used to determine the structures of both domains of the antibiotic sensor TipAL, as well as of the c-di-GMP receptor PA4608, in ...
