Time resolved fluorescence of cow and goat milk powder
Spectrochimica Acta - Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2017Milk powder is an international dairy commodity. Goat and cow milk powders are significant sources of nutrients and the investigation of the authenticity and classification of milk powder is particularly important. The use of time-resolved fluorescence techniques to distinguish chemical composition and structure modifications could assist develop a ...

This study investigated the characteristics of cow milk-based, goat milk-based, and mixed-based (using goat milk and cow whey powder)infant formulas (IF) with different sources of casein and whey protein, aiming to construct the properties of powders prepared using goat milk. Goat milk-based IF have different water activity, color, and glass transition

The non-protein nitrogen fraction of goat whole milk powder and of infant and follow-on formulae made from goat milk was characterized and compared with cow milk powder and formulae. Goat milk infant formula contained 10% non-protein nitrogen, expressed as a proportion of total nitrogen, compared with 7.1% for cow milk formula.

Production and characterisation of goat milk powder made from sonicated whole milk concentrates
International Dairy Journal, 2022In the present study, goat milk powder (GMP) was produced from sonicated whole milk concentrates for 0e60 min. The physicochemical, functional, and microbiological properties and powder flow behaviours of the GMP samples were determined. Sonication decreased firmness and consistency values of milk concentrate with the increased treatment time. L* value

AbstractBACKGROUNDBranched‐chain fatty acid (BCFA) is effective in preventing and helping to treat neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis. It is essential to supplement goat‐milk powder for formula‐fed preterm infants with BCFA. In this study, the quality and microstructures of milk powders supplemented with different concentrations of BCFA were evaluated,
