Occurrence of aflatoxin M1 in pasteurised, UHT milk and milk powder from goat origin
Food Control, 2007Abstract In the present study, 36 samples of pasteurised, ultra-high-temperature (UHT) treated and goat milk powder traded in the city of Campinas, Brazil, were analysed for aflatoxin M1 (AFM1), from October to December 2004 and March to May 2005. Results showed 25 (69.4%) positive samples for AFM1 at levels of 0.011–0.161 μg L−1 of milk, which were ...

Development and Qualitative Characterization of Goat Milk Cheese Powder
RADS Journal of Food BiosciencesGoat milk is an essential part of human food since ancient times. Goat milk contains tiny, easy to absorb fat globules that help with people's cardiovascular diseases. Cheese is the coagulated form of milk high in calcium, protein, and fats. It is soft, white in color, and pleasant in taste but with lower shelf stability.

Cow and goat milk samples supplemented with milk powder, whey protein concentrate and inulin and without supplementation were fermented with Lactobacillus acidophilus La5. At the end of fermentation, the highest viable count was found in the supplemented samples, especially in those containing whey protein concentrate.

Male Sprague-Dawley rats were assigned to one of three dietary groups [standard diet (Cont; n = 8), standard diet plus bovine colostrum powder (BColost 1.7 g/kg; n = 8), or goat milk powder (GMilk 1.7 g/kg; n = 8)] to determine the ability of these supplements to reduce gastrointestinal hyperpermeability induced by heat.

In this study; bifighurts were produced from goat milk (A), mixtures of 70% cow - 30% goat milk (B), 50% goat - 50% cow milk (C), and stored 14 d at +/- 4 degrees C. Two concentration methods, ultrafiltration (UF) and skim milk powder addition (MP), were applied to milk mixtures.

Extracellular vesicles in goat milk powders and whole goat milk infant formula carry miRNAs.
Milk-derived extracellular vesicles (mEVs) play an essential role, via their microRNAs (miRNAs), which regulate the expression of over 60% of genes influencing many cellular processes. mEVs can be absorbed by intestinal cells, suggesting their influence on infant development.Leroux, Christine +8 more

Extracellular vesicles carrying significant amounts of microRNAs are present in goat milk powders
International Dairy JournalMilk-derived extracellular vesicles (mEVs) play a crucial role in intercellular communication, mainly via their microRNAs, and could influence consumer health. Little is known about mEVs from goat milk powder (GMP) consumed as an alternative to bovine milk powder.
