Adsorption from binary solutions on chemically bonded phases [PDF]

open access: yesCondens. Matter Phys., 2016, vol. 19, No. 1, 13601, 2016
We use density functional theory to investigate adsorption of liquid mixtures on solid surfaces modified with end-grafted chains. The chains are modelled as freely joined spheres. The fluid molecules are spherical. All spherical species interact via the Lennard-Jones (12-6) potential.

Use of anterior segment optical coherence tomography to predict corneal graft rejection in small animal models.

open access: yesInvestigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, 2014
PURPOSE To correlate the degree of anterior chamber (AC) inflammation and corneal thickness evaluated by anterior segment optical coherence tomography (ASOCT) with corneal graft rejection status and to explore the value of ASOCT in assisting the ...

Association between history of bariatric surgery and graft rejection among solid organ transplant recipients

open access: yesTransplantation Reports, 2021
Objective: We sought to assess the potential association between history of bariatric surgery and graft rejection among solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients.

Impact of Ig-Therasorb (R) immunoapheresis on stability of xenogeneic ex vivo porcine liver perfusion - Value of aminotransferases and flow rates for the assessment of metabolic graft viability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Due to growing shortage of donor organs, the concept of extracorporeal pig liver perfusion in the treatment of acute liver failure has been rediscovered.

LONG-TERM SURVIVAL OF THE TRANSPLANTED KIDNEY AND THE CLINICAL RELEVANCE OF DONOR-SPECIFIC ANTIBODIES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The aim of our study was to evaluate the relevance of donor-specific antibodies (DSA) as defined by solid-phase single-antigen (SA) assays for predicting long-term graft survival after kidney transplantation.

Constructive Characterization of Critical Bipartite Grafts [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Factor-critical graphs are a classical concept in matching theory that constitute an important component of the Gallai-Edmonds canonical decomposition and Edmonds' algorithm for maximum matchings. Lov\'asz provided a constructive characterization of factor-critical graphs in terms of ear decompositions. This characterization has been a useful inductive

Humoral and cellular immunopathology of hepatic and cardiac hamster-into-rat xenograft rejection: Marked stimulation of IgM++bright/IgD+dull splenic B cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Normal Lewis rat serum contains antibodies (IgM > IgG) that bind to hamster leukocytes and endothelial cells. Transplantation of either the heart or liver from hamster rat results in release of hamster hematolymphoid cells from the graft, which lodge in ...

The Banff 2017 Kidney Meeting Report: Revised diagnostic criteria for chronic active T cell–mediated rejection, antibody‐mediated rejection, and prospects for integrative endpoints for next‐generation clinical trials

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Transplantation, 2018
The kidney sessions of the 2017 Banff Conference focused on 2 areas: clinical implications of inflammation in areas of interstitial fibrosis and tubular atrophy (i‐IFTA) and its relationship to T cell–mediated rejection (TCMR), and the continued ...

Anti-inflammatory treatment strategies for ischemia/reperfusion injury in transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Inflammatory reactions in the graft have a pivotal influence on acute as well as long-term graft function. The main reasons for an inflammatory reaction of the graft tissue are rejection episodes, infections as well as ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury ...
