Light‐Responsive Enzyme‐Loaded Nanoparticles for Tunable Adhesion and Mechanical Wound Contraction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a photoactivatable enzyme‐loaded mesoporous nanoparticle system (MPDA_PaTy) that enables light‐triggered tunable tissue adhesion and facilitates mechanical wound contraction. Controlled enzymatic crosslinking at tissue or hydrogel interfaces allows on‐demand adhesion.

Engineered Particle Synthesis by Dry Particle Microgranulation

open access: yesCell Reports Physical Science, 2020
Summary: Uniform ∼10-μm particles are important in several applications, including the metal oxide and graphite active materials in Li-ion batteries. Current production methods (e.g., co-precipitation and spheronization) can be wasteful and have limited ...

Prediction of size distribution of iron ore granules and permeability of its bed [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mining and Metallurgy. Section B: Metallurgy, 2011
The granulation process, which is determined by many factors like properties of the mixture and the operating parameters, is of very importance for getting a good permeability of the burden in the sintering strand.

The biological role of N-acyl-homoserine lactone-based quorum sensing (QS) in EPS production and microbial community assembly during anaerobic granulation process

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Although N-acyl-L-homoserine lactone (AHL) based quorum sensing (QS) phenomenon has been observed in mature anaerobic granules, the biological role of AHL-based QS system in anaerobic granulation process remains unexplored.

Adaptive 4D‐Printed Vascular Stents With Low‐Temperature‐Activated and Intelligent Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microarchitected coronary artery stents were fabricated using a polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based shape memory polymer (SMP) composite via projection micro‐stereolithography (PµSL) 4D printing. By incorporating diethyl phthalate (DEP) as a plasticizer, the thermal transition temperature (Ttran) was modulated to about 37°C, enabling rapid and autonomous ...

An Ionic Gelation Powder for Ultrafast Hemostasis and Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An ultrafast ionic gelation‐activated hemostatic powder (AGCL) forms a hydrogel within ≈1 s upon contact with blood‐derived calcium ions. The AGCL powder enables rapid hemorrhage control, strong tissue adhesion, and enhanced healing. The powder's pre‐crosslinked polymer network ensures high blood uptake and stability, offering effective treatment for ...
