Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor producing rectal cancer
Background Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF)-producing cancer has been reported to occur in various organs, especially the lung. However, G-CSF-producing colorectal cancer (CRC) has never been reported in the English literature.

Differential fMet-Leu-Phe- and Platelet-activating Factor-induced Signaling Toward Ral Activation in Primary Human Neutrophils [PDF]
We have measured the activation of the small GTPase Ral in human neutrophils after stimulation with fMet- Leu-Phe (fMLP), platelet activating factor (PAF), and granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor and compared it with the activation of ...

A bimetallic Mn–Ca nanoreactor (MCC) is developed as a non‐nucleotide STING nanoagonist for cancer metalloimmunotherapy. MCC induces Ca2+ overload and hydroxyl radical generation, resulting in mitochondrial damage and mtDNA release. The released mtDNA cooperates with Mn2+ to robustly activate cGAS–STING signaling.

Use of recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor in an infant with reticular dysgenesis [PDF]
We present the case of a 2-month-old infant with reticular dysgenesis who was treated with recombinant granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor with the aim of stimulating granulopoiesis while awaiting bone marrow ...

Bioengineering tumor‐stroma pancreatic cancer models with potential to emulate the native immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Cancer‐on‐a‐bead models exhibited higher relevance for screening immunotherapies and modulating the protumoral PDAC microenvironment. ABSTRACT Pancreatic cancer is notably resistant to treatment, primarily due to its dense

Manufacturing Dendritic Cells for Immunotherapy: Monocyte Enrichment [PDF]
Dendritic cells play a key role in activation of the immune system as potent antigen-presenting cells. This pivotal position, along with the ability to generate dendritic cells from monocytes and ready uptake of antigen, makes them an intriguing vehicle ...

Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor [PDF]
Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor was discovered during attempts to define the normal regulators present in cell supernatants that could induce terminal differentiation of the murine myeloid leukemic cell line WEHI-3B D+. The purification and subsequent cloning of both murine and human G-CSF allowed the normal functions of this molecule to be ...

Aggressive Recurrent Pancreatic Cancer Producing Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor
Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a glycoprotein which stimulates the proliferation, differentiation, and functional activation of myeloid hematopoietic cells. G-CSF-producing pancreatic cancer is rare and its prognosis is strikingly poor.
