Recent reports have demonstrated that follicular atresia is initiated or caused by granulosa cell apoptosis followed by theca cell degeneration in mammalian ovaries, but the mechanism of follicular atresia is still to be elucidated.

Granulosa cell tumor of the ovary
Ovarian granulosa cell tumors (GCTs) are uncommon neoplasms that arise from the sex-cord stromal cells of the ovary. GCTs are characterized by long natural history and their tendency to recur years after the initial diagnosis. They present with symptoms and signs due to estradiol secretion, including vaginal bleeding and precocious puberty ...

Adult type granulosa cell tumor in adult testis: report of a case and review of the literature
Granulosa cell tumors can be classified into juvenile and adult types and more commonly occur in ovaries. Adult testicular granulosa cell tumors are extremely rare and only 29 cases of adult type have previously been reported.

GPCRs in CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy: Expanding the Target Landscape and Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy
Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy faces dual challenges of target scarcity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment in solid tumors. This review highlights how G protein‐coupled receptors can serve as both novel targets to expand the therapeutic scope and functional modules to enhance CAR‐T cell efficacy.

RHOB Regulates Apoptosis of Granulosa Cells in Muscovy Duck Follicles via Mitochondrial Pathway
Muscovy ducks (Cairina moschata) exhibit strong nesting tendencies, which result in reduced egg-laying performance. The research team previously identified differential expression of the Ras homolog family member B (RHOB) gene in the ovaries of Muscovy ...

Hormonal induction of polo-like kinases (Plks) and impact of Plk2 on cell cycle progression in the rat ovary. [PDF]
The highly conserved polo-like kinases (Plks) are potent regulators of multiple functions in the cell cycle before and during mitotic cell division. We investigated the expression pattern of Plk genes and their potential role(s) in the rat ovary during ...

This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.
