Serine protease granzyme B plays important roles in infections, autoimmunity, transplant rejection, and antitumor immunity. A triple-mutated granzyme B variant that encodes three amino substitutions (Q48R, P88A, and Y245H) has been reported to have ...

Caspase-dependent inhibition of mousepox replication by gzmB. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Ectromelia virus is a natural mouse pathogen, causing mousepox. The cytotoxic T (Tc) cell granule serine-protease, granzyme B, is important for its control, but the underlying mechanism is unknown. Using ex vivo virus immune Tc cells, we have

An immunomodulatory hydrogel (iGEL) forms spontaneously upon subcutaneous injection, acting as a tissue‐adhesive depot. It releases anti‐rejection and regenerative agents in response to inflammation, suppressing T‐cell activity, promoting vascular repair, and restoring allograft function without systemic immunosuppression.

A multifunctional nanoagonist (cDZ@IP) enables nano‐metabolite–driven multimodal activation of the STING pathway and enhanced immune recognition, achieving potent antitumor immunity and suppressing tumor growth and metastasis. This strategy highlights the rational design of therapeutic metabolites and establishes a new paradigm bridging nanomedicine ...

Residual Cytotoxicity and Granzyme K Expression in Granzyme A-deficient Cytotoxic Lymphocytes [PDF]
Cytotoxic lymphocytes contain granules that have the ability to induce apoptosis in susceptible target cells. The granule contents include perforin, a pore-forming molecule, and several granzymes, including A and B, which are the most abundant serine proteases in these granules. Granzyme B-deficient cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) have a severe defect in

RT promotes VG161 replication in BC and its immunostimulatory transgenes expression, which is mediated by the upregulation of GADD34 and HVEM caused by RT. The combination therapy with VG161 and RT increases the abundances of tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes and elicits potent systemic antitumor immunity, thereby effectively inhibiting local tumors and ...

Discordant Regulation of Granzyme H and Granzyme B Expression in Human Lymphocytes [PDF]
We analyzed the expression of granzyme H in human blood leukocytes, using a novel monoclonal antibody raised against recombinant granzyme H. 33-kDa granzyme H was easily detected in unfractionated peripheral blood mononuclear cells, due to its high constitutive expression in CD3(-)CD56(+) natural killer (NK) cells, whereas granzyme B was less abundant.
