Granule Leakage Induces Cell-Intrinsic, Granzyme B-Mediated Apoptosis in Mast Cells
Mast cells are multifunctional immune cells scattered in tissues near blood vessels and mucosal surfaces where they mediate important reactions against parasites and contribute to the pathogenesis of allergic reactions.

Human plasma cells express granzyme
While studying the plasma cell (PC) compartment in human tonsils, we identified that immunoglobulin kappa or lambda chain‐expressing PCs are the main cells expressing granzyme B (GrzB). In vitro studies revealed that activated B cells differentiated into GrzB‐expressing PCs when co‐cultured with macrophages and follicular helper T cells.

Natural killer cells in placentation and cancer: Implications for hypertension during pregnancy [PDF]
Hypertension during pregnancy is the most common medical condition encountered during gestation. Despite this, knowledge of the mechanisms that underlie the disease and the development of new therapies are limited.

Overrepresentation of IL-10-Expressing B Cells Suppresses Cytotoxic CD4+ T Cell Activity in HBV-Induced Hepatocellular Carcinoma. [PDF]
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common cancer with poor prognosis and low five-year survival rate. A strong and effective CD4+ T cell-mediated cytotoxicity was associated with better survival and low recurrence rate in HCC, but the regulatory ...

TREX1 DNA exonuclease deficiency, accumulation of single stranded DNA and complex human genetic disorders [PDF]
Aicardi-Goutieres syndrome (AGS) is an unusual condition that clinically mimics a congenital viral infection. Several genes have recently been implicated in the aetiology of this disorder. One of these genes encodes the DNA exonuclease TREX1. Recent work

Granzyme B; the chalk-mark of a cytotoxic lymphocyte
During cytotoxic lymphocyte (CL) mediated killing of target cells, granzyme B is released from the CL into the immune synapse. Recent studies have found that ELISPOT-detection of granzyme B correlated well with conventional assays for CL mediated killing.

Synthetic Nanobiology Actuated Lipometabolic Cell Factory for Autologous Tumor Immunotherapy
FA plays a crucial role in the interaction between tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment, especially for the immune response. A biocatalytic immunoenhancement strategy is developed to boost antitumor immunity by FA metabolic orientation to ceramide. Through the design of this delicate catalytic immunoenhancement strategy, the synthetic nanobiology

Structure and evolutionary origin of the human granzyme H gene [PDF]
Among the molecules proposed to be involved In cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL), natural killer (NK) and lymphokine activated killer (LAK) cell-mediated lysis are the granzymes, a family of serine proteases stored in the cytoplasmic granules of CTLs, NK and ...
