Biological Performance of Phosalone and Malathion in Grapes (Vitis vinifera L. cv Anab-e-shahi)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bio-Resource and Stress Management, 2011
The experiment was conducted during February-March, 2006 with grape variety Anab-e-shahi. Two sprays of malathion (0.05%) and phosalone (0.07%) were applied with first spray at berry formation stage and second spray at 15 days after first spray.

Novel Bioactive Multifunctional Polyphenols: A Chemo‐Enzymatic Approach

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
One‐step synthesis of complex alkyl oxystilbenin glucosides (6‐47% yield) in alcoholic medium. Switching to ter‐BuOH as solvent afforded δ‐Viniferin diglucoside, with high selectivity and high yield (> 90%), that can be upgraded by enzymatic esterification to alkyl δ‐Viniferin diglucosides.

Synthesizing polyethersulphone membranes with hybrid iron/nickel nanoparticles for dyes removal: An efficient biogenesis approach

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract Industrial wastewater contamination by azo dyes poses a significant environmental challenge. This study reports the green synthesis of bimetallic iron/nickel (Fe/Ni) nanoparticles using moringa leaf extract, which acted as both a reducing and capping agent, and their incorporation into polyethersulphone (PES) membranes to produce eco‐friendly ...

Stability Evaluation of Anthocyanin Extracted from Processed Grape Residues

open access: yes, 2013
Anthocyanins are extremely important phenolic compounds due to their antioxidant potential. They are used as natural colorants in food industry, but upon the industrial processes, they show low stability. Grape and grape-made products are a source of several phenolic compounds and the residues proceeding from wine making may display a large amount of ...

Optimal model‐based design of experiments for parameter precision: Supercritical extraction case

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract This study investigates the process of chamomile oil extraction from flowers. A parameter‐distributed model consisting of a set of partial differential equations is used to describe the governing mass transfer phenomena in a cylindrical packed bed with solid chamomile particles under supercritical conditions using carbon dioxide as a solvent ...
