Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Nanobody‐Conjugated Theranostic Prodrug Targeting αvβ3 Integrin Enables Precision Cancer Therapy With Real‐Time Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The image shows a schematic form a nanobody‐conjugated theranostic prodrug (NBD) platform targeting tumor‐associated αvβ3 integrin. The NBD system integrates selective nanobody‐mediated tumor recognition, glutathione‐responsive disulfide cleavage for doxorubicin release, and aza‐BODIPY‐based near‐infrared fluorescence for real‐time imaging.

Fructose‐Based Single‐Chain Polymer Nanoparticles for GLUT1–Mediated Delivery: Impact of Polymer Design on Uptake and In Vivo Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐chain nanoparticles have been proposed as drug delivery carriers, but adding a tail can significantly enhance their performance. This was demonstrated using a tadpole‐like structure comprising a head prepared from a UV‐crosslinked fructose‐based glycopolymer capable of targeting GLUT receptors, combined with a PEG‐based tail. Compared with other

Investigation on Rosehip Fruit Tea, Linden Herbal Tea, Sage Herbal Tea and Green Tea-are thay acidic or not? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Tea is a widely-consumed daily life product, which is claimed to be very advantageous for health. But it may have negative effects on health, too. Consuming tea with a hungry stomach causes stomachache, and doctors say that this is because the tea is ...

Tea and coffee consumption in relation to vitamin D and calcium levels in Saudi adolescents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Background Coffee and tea consumption was hypothesized to interact with variants of vitamin D-receptor polymorphisms, but limited evidence exists. Here we determine for the first time whether increased coffee and tea consumption affects circulating ...

Seta‐Inspired Mechano‐Intelligent Janus Bandage with Coordinated Adhesion–Contraction for Minimizing Scarring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a bioinspired mechano‐intelligent Janus bandage (MIB) with a hydrophobic flat exterior and a hydrophilic interior featuring gecko‐mimicking wedged microstructures, fabricated via micromolding and anisotropic plasma treatment. The MIB dynamically synchronizes adhesion and contraction, enabling precise force modulation.

Economic Low‐Carbon Chemical Production via Paired Electrolysis of Carbon Monoxide (CO) and 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF)

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Replacing CO2 with CO at the cathode and integrating a catholyte‐layer membrane electrode assembly transforms paired electrolysis into a stable platform for co‐producing ethylene and 2,5‐furandicarboxylic acid. Combined experimental and techno‐economic analyses identify carbon monoxide and 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural as the most compatible pairing ...
