The combination therapy of platinum-based chemotherapy and PD-L1 inhibitors but not the single anti-PD-L1 therapy has significantly improved the prognosis of patients with small-cell lung cancer (SCLC).

Pathogenesis of Age‐Related Hearing Loss and Therapeutic Strategies
ABSTRACT Age‐related hearing loss (ARHL) is a degenerative disorder of the auditory system, characterized by bilateral symmetrical sensorineural hearing loss that occurs with aging. As a highly prevalent age‐related condition worldwide, ARHL significantly impairs both the quality of life and mental health of the elderly.

Chemotherapy-Activated Caspase 3 Cleaves GSDME to Drive Pyroptosis [PDF]
Abstract GSMDE promotes a switch of chemotherapy-mediated cell death from apoptosis to pyroptosis.

In hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), aberrantly activated Notch1 signaling induces its target gene YY1, which impairs immunotherapy efficacy by suppressing tumor cell‐ICAM1‐driven T cell activation and the mediated pyroptosis of T cells against tumor cells.

p53–GSDME Elevation: A Path for CDK7 Inhibition to Suppress Breast Cancer Cell Survival
Higher cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK7) expression is a character of breast cancer and indicates poor prognosis. Inhibiting CDK7 exhibited effective cancer cell suppression which implies the potential of CDK7 inhibition to be a method for anti-cancer ...

This work proposes ferroptosis as a mechanistic driver of age‐related muscle dysfunction, whereby iron dyshomeostasis and impaired antioxidant capacity promote lipid peroxidation, and eventually trigger ferroptosis, leading to muscle wasting, and ultimately contributing to weakness and functional decline with aging.

Inflammatory cell death induced by cytotoxic lymphocytes: a dangerous but necessary liaison [PDF]
Cytotoxic lymphocytes (CLs), and more specifically Tc and NK cells, are the main executors of cell death in the immune system, playing a key role during both immunosurveillance and immunotherapy. These cells induce regulated cell death (RCD) by different

New insights into the regulation of apoptosis, necroptosis, and pyroptosis by receptor interacting protein kinase 1 and caspase-8 [PDF]
Necroptosis and pyroptosis are inflammatory forms of regulated necrotic cell death as opposed to apoptosis that is generally considered immunologically silent.

Single‐Cell Genetic Mapping of Gasdermin Expression Across Immune‐Mediated Inflammatory Diseases
This figure illustrates the lineage‐specific causal effects of gasdermin (GSDM) expression on the risk of eight immune‐mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs). The analysis, based on single‐cell genetic data, shows how GSDMA, GSDMB, and GSDMD affect disease risk in various immune cell types, highlighting distinct protective or risk‐enhancing roles in ...
