The Extremely Low Mechanical Force Generated by Nano‐Pulling Induces Global Changes in the Microtubule Network, Nuclear Morphology, and Chromatin Transcription in Neurons

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Nano‐pulling induces stabilization, reorganization, and reorientation of the microtubule network. The nucleus of stretched cells experiences increased lateral tension, becomes more spherical, and develops surface grooves. At the level of gene expression regulation, changes in nuclear morphology induce global chromatin remodeling, leading to reduced ...

Cellular Responses to Nanoscale Topography Mediated Through the RhoA/ROCK Pathway

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The most common ways that cells respond to nanoscale patterns include cytoskeletal reorganization, reduction in focal adhesion density, and increased endocytosis. Here RhoA is identified as a single biological pathway that can unify cellular responses to nanotopography.

Tailored Paths Towards Gender Equality: Insights From South Africa and Australia

open access: yesAustralian Economic Papers, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines how context‐specific gender equality policies address disparities by comparing South Africa's equity‐based and Australia's equality‐oriented approaches. Through a comparative lens, it analyses the effectiveness of tailored affirmative action policies, including South Africa's Employment Equity Act and Australia's Workplace ...
