Trapp Stimulates Guanine Nucleotide Exchange on Ypt1p [PDF]
TRAPP, a novel complex that resides on early Golgi, mediates the targeting of ER-to-Golgi vesicles to the Golgi apparatus. Previous studies have shown that YPT1, which encodes the small GTP-binding protein that regulates membrane traffic at this stage of the secretory pathway, interacts genetically with BET3 and BET5.

Embedded CRISPRi Enhances Gene‐Silencing Efficiency in Drosophila
Current CRISPR interference (CRISPRi) technology in Drosophila has limited efficiency. This study introduces the emCRISPRi platform, which significantly enhances transcriptional silencing efficacy by embedding inhibitory domains within the dCas9 architecture.

First-principles GW calculations for DNA and RNA nucleobases
On the basis of first-principles GW calculations, we study the quasiparticle properties of the guanine, adenine, cytosine, thymine, and uracil DNA and RNA nucleobases.

Back-electron transfer suppresses the periodic length dependence of DNA-mediated charge transport across adenine tracts [PDF]
DNA-mediated charge transport (CT) is exquisitely sensitive to the integrity of the bridging π-stack and is characterized by a shallow distance dependence. These properties are obscured by poor coupling between the donor/acceptor pair and the DNA bridge,

This study employs sc‐RNA sequencing, genetics, and phenotyping to systematically map the cell‐type‐specific immune responses triggered by flg22. It reveals FLS2‐dependent transcriptional reprogramming in epidermal and mesophyll cells, and uncovers crosstalk between immune and hypoxia signaling pathways.

GNAO1‐associated disorders have a large spectrum of neurological symptoms, from early‐onset developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEE) to late‐onset movement disorders. First reported in 2013 and now identified in around 400 cases worldwide, this

Rescue of high-specificity Cas9 variants using sgRNAs with matched 5’ nucleotides
We report that engineered Cas9 variants with improved specificity—eCas9-1.1 and Cas9-HF1—are often poorly active in human cells, when complexed with single guide RNAs (sgRNAs) with a mismatch at the 5’ terminus, relative to target DNA sequences.
