Point-of-Care Diagnosis of Cryptosporidiosis in Neonatal Ruminant Faecal Samples by a Portable Field Microscope Integrated With a Smartphone. [PDF]
A portable, smartphone‐integrated microscope enables rapid, on‐site diagnosis of Cryptosporidium spp. oocysts in neonatal ruminant faeces using carbol fuchsin staining. It provides diagnostic image quality comparable to laboratory microscopes with up to 1000× magnification and ∼1 micrometers (µm) resolution.

Active Photonic Glass for Hydrogen Generation. [PDF]
This article reports the fabrication of photonic glass with a chiral nematic structure using a simple sol‐gel evaporation‐induced cellulose nanocrystals self‐assembly method. The glass exhibits variable iridescent colors over the UV‐visible range.

A reactive attachment based on hexachloroplatinic(IV) acid is shown to lead directly to single atom configuration with a significantly higher specific H2 evolution activity than achieved with strong electrostatic adsorption – and this is at a significantly lower Pt loading without any post‐deposition treatment.
