Replacement of large subunit N terminus enabled biogenesis of different plant Rubiscos in E. coli
Summary The efforts of engineering plant ribulose‐1,5‐bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco) with the goal of improving plant photosynthetic efficiency and crop yield have existed for long. However, the directed evolution of plant Rubisco has not been widely explored because its biogenesis in a heterologous host such as Escherichia coli remains ...

EFFECT OF H56/28 (APTINE) ON CATECHOLAMINE‐INDUCED ARRHYTHMIAS AND NEUROMUSCULAR TRANSMISSION IN MAN
SUMMARYThe beta adrenergic blocking agent H56/28 was found to be effective in the prevention of catecholamine‐anesthetic cardiac arrhythmias in man. It was suggested that this antiarrhythmic action was due to beta adrenergic blockade rather than the local anesthetic activity which H56/28 is known to possess.

Positive selection within the Schizophrenia-associated GABA(A) receptor beta(2) gene. [PDF]
The gamma-aminobutyric acid type-A (GABA(A)) receptor plays a major role in inhibitory neurotransmissions. Intronic SNPs and haplotypes in GABRB2, the gene for GABA(A) receptor beta(2) subunit, are associated with schizophrenia and correlated with the ...

An Electrochemical Color-Switchable RGB Dye: Tristable [2]Catenane [PDF]
We propose a design for an electrochemically driven RGB dye based on a tristable [2]catenane, in which the color of the molecule can be switched between Red, Green, and Blue by merely changing voltage.

The inhibition of CAC transporter, an important mitochondrial protein, by Pr3+, Gd3+ and Tm3+ lanthanides is studied in the framework of all‐atoms MD simulations. In presence of cations, it is shown that c‐state to m‐state conformational change occurs spontaneously, providing atomistic explanation of the protein's channel occlusion and inhibition ...

This study reveals that obesity‐driven metabolic dysfunction enhances YAP O‐GlcNAcylation, facilitating its stabilization by preventing ubiquitylation and degradation via EIF3H, thereby driving TNBC progression and chemoresistance. Retatrutide disrupts this axis by suppressing O‐GlcNAcylation, restoring YAP ubiquitylation, and enhancing degradation ...

The Socio-Economic Perspective for the Guns Vs. Butter Trade-Off in the European Union Countries
At the NATO Wales Summit in 2014, European allies agreed to spend at least 2% of GDP on defence.1 However, the break-out of the Russo-Ukrainian war increased EU countries efforts to spend more on military capability not only because of solidarity in the ...
