VARIATION OF SPIKE HARVEST INDEX IN WHEAT (Triticum aestivum L.) [PDF]

open access: yesClimate changes and ecological sustainability in agriculture and food production in Serbia, the region and Southeastern Europe : proceedings
Spike harvest index (SHI) can be an indicator of partitioning assimilation into seeds vegetative biomass and wheat productivity. The aim of this study is estimation of spike harvest index variation in wheat varieties grown under different environmental conditions.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Response of Three Bread Wheat Cultivars to Different Levels of Seeding Rates in Ilam Region [PDF]

open access: yesIkufīziyuluzhī-i Giyāhān-i Zirā̒ī, 2012
In order to study the effects of seeding rates on yield and yield components of three bread wheat cultivars, a factorial experiment based on randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications was conducted during 2006-2007, in Sarableh town ...

Relationship between dry matter content at harvest and maturity index and post-harvest quality of ‘Fuji’ apples

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Fruticultura, 2018
Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the relationship between dry matter content (DMC) and maturity index of ‘Fuji’ apple fruit sports (‘Mishima’, ‘Fuji Select’ and ‘Fuji Suprema’) during the final stage of fruit growth, and the relationship ...

Spike productivity in relation to yield as criterion for emmer wheat breeding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Landraces, which are unbred cereal species, and include in particular the tetraploid emmer wheat, have become an important focus for the activities of local or organic farmers, processors and consumers of organic products. This study is based on analyses

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Higher Renovation Pruning Height Improves Early Yields of ‘Woodard’ Rabbiteye Blueberry

open access: yesHortTechnology, 2021
Rabbiteye blueberry (Vaccinium virgatum) bushes are relatively easy to grow and commonplace across Mississippi; however, if not properly maintained, the bushes will decline over time.
