Phylogenetic relationships of Cryptosporidium parasites based on the 70- kilodalton heat shock protein (HSP70) gene

open access: yes, 2000
We have characterized the nucleotide sequences of the 70-kDa heat shock protein (HSP70) genes of Cryptosporidium baileyi, C. felis, C. meleagridis, C. muris, C. serpentis, C. wrairi, and C. parvum from various animals.

Role of heat shock protein 90 in modulating ischemia-reperfusion injury in the kidney [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Kidney transplantation is the gold standard treatment for end-stage renal disease. Renal ischemia-reperfusion injury is an unavoidable consequence of the transplantation procedure and is responsible for delayed graft function and poorer long-term ...

Ecological Adaptation Mechanisms Underlying Successful Plant Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During floral induction, various environmental and endogenous signals converge to regulate the florigen protein, which is transported from leaves to the SAM to initiate flowering. Within the SAM, a complex network of receptor kinases and small peptides orchestrates floral development with high spatiotemporal precision.

Maternal and Umbilical Cord Heat-Shock Protein 70 Levels in Patients with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

open access: yesGenel Tıp Dergisi
AIMS: The purpose of this study is to determine if heat shock protein 70 (Hsp-70), a marker of cellular stress, is elevated in maternal serum and umbilical cord in pregnancies complicated by gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and to determine whether ...

Regulation of heat shock protein 70 synthesis by heat shock in the preimplantation murine embryo

open access: yesTheriogenology, 1995
Induced thermotolerance in murine embryos occurs at the 8-cell stage when embryos are maintained in vitro but not until the blastocyst stage if development proceeds in vivo. Present results indicate that ability of embryos to undergo induced thermotolerance is not limited by heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) synthesis.

Redox‐Dependent Chaperoning of GBF1 Condensates Regulates Seed Germination in Arabidopsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In dormant seeds (low ROS), GBF1 forms liquid condensates to repress the germination gene CathB3, and the chaperone GIP1 maintains condensate liquidity and repressive activity. Upon imbibition (high ROS), ROS oxidize GIP1 during germination, impairing its chaperone function.

Effect of Trehalose on the Expression of Heat Shock Protein 70 Gene in PC12 Cells Treated with Hydrogen Peroxide

open access: yesJournal of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, 2019
Background and purpose: Oxidative stress is implicated in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including neurological disorders. In such stressful conditions, heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) protects cells, thus its pharmacological induction can be ...

The relationship of Heat Shock Protein-70(HSP-70) and toxoplasmosis among women with abortion

open access: yesKufa Journal for Nursing Sciences, 2012
Background: Toxoplasmosis is a wide spread disease in our society, moreover it plays an important role in causation of abortion in pregnant women. Objectives: The present study was carried out to evaluate the role of Heat Shock Protein-70 (HSP-70) in ...

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Expression of heat shock protein 70 in nasopharyngeal carcinomas: different expression patterns correlate with distinct clinical prognosis

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine, 2012
Background Heat shock protein 70, a stress protein, has been implicated in tumor progression. However, its role in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) progression has not yet been clearly investigated.
