Boron‐Based Functionalities Enhance, the Potency of 2,5‐Dimethylfuran‐Based IDO1 Inhibitors

‐, , , ‐ , Indoleamine‐2,3‐dioxygenase‐1 (IDO1), a key immunoregulatory enzyme, is inhibited by novel boron derivatives (closo‐1,2‐ and 1,7‐carborane, boronic acids and esters, and benzoxaboroles) of 2,5‐dimethylfuran, each displaying low μM affinity for the human recombinant enzyme.

Linalool attenuated ischemic injury in PC12 cells through inhibition of caspase‐3 and caspase‐9 during apoptosis

This study indicated, for the first time, that (±) linalool and its enantiomer, (R)‐(‐) linalool protected PC12 cells against injury induced by oxygen and glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R) via the mitigation of oxidative stress and the downregulation of Bax/Bcl‐2, caspase‐3 and caspase‐9, resulting in decreased apoptotic cell death.

Insights into the Mechanism of a Vanadium Bromoperoxidase from the Marine Macro‐Algae Corallina pilulifera for Biocatalytic Halogenation
