Arsenic (As), a widespread environmental toxic substance, one of arsenic's clinical signs is liver damage. Ellagic acid protects liver toxicity as well as injuries induced by arsenic, and up‐regulates HO‐1 expression. Ellagic acid has a pharmacological characteristic, including anti‐inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
