Egy virulencia regulátor mutáns Salmonella enterica törzs mint kereszt-immunitást biztosító orális vakcina jelölt vizsgálata = Investigation of a virulence regulator mutant strain of Salmonella enterica as a candidate for live oral vaccine providing cross-immunity

open access: yes, 2008

Four novel hemolysin genes of Vibrio anguillarum and their virulence to rainbow trout

open access: yes, 2005
Four nucleotide sequences showing homology to known hemolysin genes were cloned and sequenced from V. anguillarum strain H775-3. The four genes, vah2, vah3, vah4 and vah5, have open reading frames encoding polypeptides of 291, 690, 200 and 585 amino acid

HlyU Is a Positive Regulator of Hemolysin Expression in \u3cem\u3eVibrio anguillarum\u3c/em\u3e

open access: yes, 2011
The two hemolysin gene clusters previously identified in Vibrio anguillarum, the vah1 cluster and the rtxACHBDE cluster, are responsible for the hemolytic and cytotoxic activities of V. anguillarum in fish.

Engineered α-hemolysin pores with chemically and genetically-fused functional proteins

open access: yes, 2016
Protein engineering could be used to bring two proteins together, which don't normally interact, in an oriented configuration. Using computer modelling and experimental work involving mutagenesis, a new dimer complex, (α7)2, was engineered with two α-hemolysin (αHL) heptamers (α7) units linked via disulfide bridges in a cap-to-cap orientation.

Structure of Functional Staphylococcus aureus α-Hemolysin Channels in Tethered Bilayer Lipid Membranes

open access: yes, 2009
We demonstrate a method for simultaneous structure and function determination of integral membrane proteins. Electrical impedance spectroscopy shows that Staphylococcus aureus α-hemolysin channels in membranes tethered to gold have the same properties as

The effect of modified Qiyuan paste on mice with low immunity and sleep deprivation by regulating GABA nerve and immune system

open access: yesChinese Medicine
Background Low immunity and sleep disorders are prevalent suboptimal health conditions in contemporary populations, which render them susceptible to the infiltration of pathogenic factors. LJC, which has a long history in traditional Chinese medicine for

Impact of MSMEG5257 Deletion on Mycolicibacterium smegmatis Growth

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Mycobacterial membrane proteins play a pivotal role in the bacterial invasion of host cells; however, the precise mechanisms underlying certain membrane proteins remain elusive. Mycolicibacterium smegmatis (Ms) msmeg5257 is a hemolysin III family protein

Membrane Curvature Affects the Formation of α‑Hemolysin Nanopores

open access: yes, 2015
Membrane proteins perform their functions within or on the lipid membrane, and lipid compositions are known to affect membrane protein integration and activity.

Female Neutrophils Produce Less Neutrophil Extracellular Traps in Response to the Escherichia Coli Hemolysin than Male Neutrophils

open access: yes, 2012
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) have been estimated to cost the U.S. approximately 1.6 billion dollars in health care costs. The majority of UTIs affect women more than men where fifty to sixty percent of women will experience a UTI in their lifetime ...
