Hemodynamic Alterations in Hemorrhagic Fever [PDF]
Circulation, 1957 The cardiac output during the shock phase of hemorrhagic fever was very low. Increases in mean arterial pressure resulted from therapy with albumin or norepinephrine. With the former, this increase was associated with an increased cardiac output; with the latter, an increase in peripheral resistance.G, ENTWISLE, E, HALEopenaire +2 more sourcesDiagnostic Assays for Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever [PDF]

The Anatomical Record, EarlyView.Abstract
Maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality have declined dramatically during the last century. Historical data are therefore important sources to study the evolutionary selection pressures related to childbirth and how they have fluctuated over time.Mirella Woodert, Guillermo Bravo Morante, Viktoria A. The Lancet MicrobeSummary: Background: Lassa fever, caused by Lassa mammarenavirus (LASV), is a rodent-borne disease endemic to west Africa. Zoonotic surveillance of LASV provides epidemiological insights into its potential presence.Allison R Smither, PhD, James Koninga, Franklyn B Kanneh, MS, Momoh Foday, Matthew L Boisen, PhD, Nell G Bond, PhD, Mambu Momoh, MS, John D Sandi, PhD, Lansana Kanneh, HD, Foday Alhasan, BS, Ibrahim M Kanneh, HD, Mohamed S Yillah, Donald S Grant, MBChB, Duane J Bush, MS, Diana K S Nelson, BS, Kaitlin M Cruz, MD, Raphaëlle Klitting, PhD, Matthias G Pauthner, PhD, ProfPhD Kristian G Andersen, PhD, ProfPhD Jeffrey G Shaffer, PhD, Luis M Branco, PhD, ProfPhD Robert W Cross, PhD, ProfMD John S Schieffelin, PhD, ProfPhD Robert F Garry, PhD +23 moredoaj +1 more sourceDuck Orbivirus and Egg Production: A Newly Identified Duck Orbivirus Is the Etiological Agent of Egg Production Decline in Chinese Breeder Ducks
Animal Research and One Health, EarlyView.Field samples from breeder duck farms with egg‐production decline were subjected to viral detection, genome sequencing, and virus isolation. Experimental infection demonstrated that duck orbivirus (DORV) causes a significant and persistent reduction in egg production in breeder ducks.Bing Li, Jianhua Wang, Xuezhi Cui, Xinxing Chu, You Wang, Dongmin Hao, Mingqing Xu, Haixia Chang, Huihui Li, Mingtian Mao, Mian Wu, Chengguang Lu, Jing Tang, Suyun Liang, Zhanbao Guo, Zhengkui Zhou, Youxiang Diao, Shuisheng Hou, Yi Tang +18 morewiley +1 more sourceOutbreak of Marburg hemorrhagic fever among miners in Kamwenge and Ibanda Districts, Uganda, 2007

Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.Objective
Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a small vessel vasculitis characterized by eosinophilia, asthma, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) involvement. Although glucocorticoids (GCs) are effective in controlling symptoms, relapses and GC dependence are common. The aim of this study was to develop predictive models for vasculitis Matthias Papo, Pauline Martinot, Renato A.
