Chromatin remodelling factor BAF155 protects hepatitis B virus X protein (HBx) from ubiquitin-independent proteasomal degradation

open access: yesEmerging Microbes and Infections, 2019
HBx is a short-lived protein whose rapid turnover is mainly regulated by ubiquitin-dependent proteasomal degradation pathways. Our prior work identified BAF155 to be one of the HBx binding partners.

Food Safety Management and Mycotoxins Nexus: A Systematic Review of Mycotoxins Toxicity, Detoxification, Nutritional Impacts, and Economic Importance

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates the interconnected relationship between food safety management, mycotoxin toxicity, and detoxification strategies, highlighting how preventive measures across the food chain can minimize mycotoxin contamination and reduce adverse health effects in humans/animals.

Scaling up hepatitis B vaccination with the support of GAVI in China : lessons learned for introduction of new vaccines and for the future of hepatitis B control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a leading cause of illness and death in China. In 1992, 60% of the population had a history of HBV infection and 9.8% were chronically infected with HBV.

Mapping of serotype-specific, immunodominant epitopes in the NS-4 region of hepatitis C virus (HCV):use of type-specific peptides to serologically differentiate infections with HCV types 1, 2, and 3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The effect of sequence variability between different types of hepatitis C virus (HCV) on the antigenicity of the NS-4 protein was investigated by epitope mapping and by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with branched oligopeptides. Epitope mapping of the

Hepatitis B virus X protein differentially regulates the angiogenesis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma through p53-VEGF axis according to glucose levels

open access: yesAnnals of Hepatology
Introduction and Objectives: Blood glucose fluctuates severely in the diabetes (DM) and tumor microenvironment. Our previous works have found Hepatitis B virus X protein (HBx) differentially regulated metastasis and apoptosis of hepatoma cells depending ...
