A second polymorph of 3,4-bis(6-bromopyridin-3-yl)-1,2,5-thiadiazole
The title compound, C12H6Br2N4S, a second polymorph in the triclinic space group P-1, is presented. As in the earlier reported monoclinic polymorph in the space group C2/c [Becker et al. (2016). Chem. Eur. J. In the press], the thiadiazole ring is planar

Palladium-catalysed heterocycle synthesis
Chapter 1 is a literature review of selected palladium-catalysed aryl C-N and C-S bond forming reactions. The application of these reactions to the synthesis of heterocycles is also discussed.

High Free‐Volume Imidazole‐Based Ionomers for High‐Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
High free‐volume imidazole‐based ionomers (PF4IM‐72) enable enhanced phosphoric acid uptake and efficient proton transport, delivering peak power densities of 0.645 W cm−2 at 160 °C and 0.838 W cm−2 at 200 °C in HT‐PEMFCs. This work highlights a promising platform for next‐generation ionomers with improved high‐temperature performance and stability ...

2-(3-Bromo-4-methoxyphenyl)-3-nitropyridine
The title compound, C12H9BrN2O3, was prepared in two steps from 2-chloro-3-nitropyridine. The nitrobiaryl unit is twisted, with dihedral angles of 35.4 (5)° between the nitro substituent and the pyridine ring to which it is bound, and 51.0 (5)° between ...

Resistant Peanut Genotype Reprograms Rhizosphere Metabolism to Enhance Bacterial Wilt Suppression
The resistant peanut genotype selectively recruits beneficial bacteria, which coincides with the activation of salicylic acid (SA)‐dependent systemic acquired resistance (SAR) against Ralstonia solanacearum. Keystone rhizosphere metabolites are positively correlated with both beneficial microbiome assembly and SAR gene expression.

This work develops a spray‐assisted in situ assembly technique to construct AHF materials with nitrogen/oxygen‐regulated one‐dimensional channels on glass fiber, providing abundant active sites and enabling rapid transport for lithium ions. Subsequently, phosphate flame retardants are encapsulated via in situ polymerization, resulting in a thermally ...

The electrolyte engineering of introducing tetrakis(4‐N, N‐dimethylaminophenyl)porphyrin (TDMAP) is designed to modulate Li+ solvation structure and solid electrolyte interphase, where the interaction with PF₆− anions is altered (Li+–NMe2–PF₆−). Consequently, the cells with optimal additive concentration achieve high Coulombic efficiency (∼99%), and ...

Thiophene is king! The fusion of thiophene rings to cycloalkynes super‐charged their copper‐free click chemistry applications, by (1) enhancing the alkyne reactivity (fastest cyclooctyne to date) and (2) rendering the alkyne fluorogenic (with fluorescence enhancement up to 150‐fold upon reaction), making these bioorthogonal reagents ideal for tracking ...
