A microgrid frequency control method based on fuzzy single neuron adaptive PI control
In traditional microgrid with droop control, the bus frequency decreases with the increase of load, and a corresponding frequency regulation control strategy is taken to keep frequency around the rated value.

Generalized hierarchical control [PDF]
Multi-objective control systems for complex robots usually have to handle multiple prioritized tasks. Most existing hierarchical control techniques handle either strict task priorities by using null-space projectors or a sequence of quadratic programs; or non strict task priorities by using a weighting strategy.

Multi-terminal dc grid overall control with modular multilevel converters
This paper presents a control philosophy for multiterminal DC grids, which are embedded in the main AC grid. DC transmission lines maintain higher power flow at longer distances compared with AC lines. The voltage losses are also much lower.

Theories of political accountability typically focus on voter-politician relationships. However, overall government performance depends on both elected politicians and unelected bureaucrats. Politicians are agents of voters while serving as principals to bureaucrats.

Review of hierarchical control strategies for DC microgrid
This work presents an extensive review of hierarchical control strategies that provide effective and robust control for a DC microgrid. DC microgrid is an efficient, scalable and reliable solution for electrification in remote areas and needs a reliable ...

Coordinated active and reactive power control for overvoltage mitigation in physical LV microgrids
The share of photovoltaic (PV) systems in the distribution networks is rapidly growing, leading to the common issue of overvoltage at the end of distribution feeders during the periods when peak generation is surplus to consumption.

A field study of team working in a new human supervisory control system [PDF]
This paper presents a case study of an investigation into team behaviour in an energy distribution company. The main aim was to investigate the impact of major changes in the company on system performance, comprising human and technical elements. A socio-

Hierarchical Control for Virtual Oscillator Based Grid-Connected and Islanded Microgrids
Virtual oscillator control (VOC) is a nonlinear time domain controller that achieves significantly faster primary control response in islanded microgrids, compared to droop or virtual synchronous machine (VSM) control.

Enhanced Microgrid Power Flow Incorporating Hierarchical Control [PDF]
An enhanced microgrid power flow (EMPF) is devised to incorporate hierarchical control effects. The new contributions are threefold: 1) an advanced-hierarchical-control-based Newton approach is established to accurately assess power sharing and voltage ...
