High Temperature Drying: Effect on Spaghetti Properties
Journal of Food Science, 1981ABSTRACT The characteristics of spaghetti produced from two high temperature (HT) drying cycles, one featuring HT at the initial stages of drying (HT‐A) and one featuring HT during the latter stages of drying (HT‐B) were compared to spaghetti produced by low temperature (LT) drying.

Economics of High Temperature Solar Grain Drying
Transactions of the ASAE, 1981ABSTRACT IF solar energy is to be used by farmers in grain drying, it must be economically competitive with other available energy sources. An economic analysis of high temperature solar grain drying has been made through a computer model that designs and calculates the economic feasibility of this system.

High-temperature air drying of lithium soap
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 1972This method of obtaining powdered lithium stearate is a batch process, inefficient and time-consuming. In order to improve the technology of lithium soap dehydration, the integral equipment design section of the All-Union Scientific-Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering (VHIIneftemash) at the All-Union Scientific-Research Design and Construction ...

Pore Pressure and Drying of Concrete at High Temperature
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1978A mathematical model for water transfer in concrete above 100°C is developed. Drying tests of heated concrete are reported and material parameters of the model are identified from these tests as well as other test data available in the literature. It is found that water transfer is governed principally by the gradient of pore pressure, which represents

Dry-etching processes for high-temperature superconductors
Physica C: Superconductivity, 1992Abstract Patterning of thin films and multilevel structures of high-temperature superconductors is a key technology for microelectronic applications. We performed a comparative study of Ion Beam Etching (IBE) and Reactive Ion Etching (RIE) processes for YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7−δ thin films.

High-Temperature Drying of Thick Concrete Slabs
Transportation Engineering Journal of ASCE, 1976The foremost requirement for deep polymer impregnation of thick concrete slabs is thorough drying to remove all evaporable water from the pore system in concrete. To facilitate rapid repair of bridge decks with polymer impregnation, it is desirable to dry the concrete from the surface with surface temperatures not exceedings 700-800°F (370-420°C).

HIGH‐TEMPERATURE DRYING‐CUM‐PARBOILING OF PADDY
Journal of Food Process Engineering, 1980ABSTRACT Alternate methods of parboiling of paddy, in place of conventional steam‐parboiling, for obtaining improved hydration ability in the parboiled rice were explored. Ratnachudi variety, a medium‐grained, tall indica, high‐amylose rice, was used. The paddy was soaked in warm water to a saturation moisture level (ca 30%, w.b.). The soaked paddy was

Thermal Modifications of Starch During High‐Temperature Drying of Pasta
Cereal Chemistry, 2000ABSTRACTChanges in starch at the molecular level during high‐temperature (HT) drying of pasta were studied with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Pasta was manufactured from durum wheat semolina into the shape of spaghetti on a pilot‐plant installation.

High-temperature dry-type transformer economics
Electrical Engineering, 1952THE ADVENT OF high-temperature insulations, such as silicones, has moved upward the possible design limit due to deterioration of insulation with temperature. Formerly, the transformer designer used insulation to the temperature limit dictated by its aging characteristics and a reasonable life.

Some Chytridiomycota in soil recover from drying and high temperatures
Mycological Research, 2004Rhizophlyctis rosea was found in 44% of 59 soil samples from national parks, urban reserves and gardens, and agricultural lands of eastern New South Wales, Australia. As some of the soils are periodically dry and hot, we examined possible mechanisms that enable survival in stressful environments such as agricultural lands. Air-dried thalli of R.
