Computational modelling and in vitro liver cell experiments indicate that medium‐chain acyl‐CoA dehydrogenase (MCAD) deficiency causes an accumulation of (especially medium‐chain) acyl‐CoAs at the cost of free CoA (CoASH). A substantial decrease in CoASH impairs flux through many pathways essential for energy homeostasis.

Dilute and Shoot: A novel approach for determination of chlormequat and mepiquat in beer
The extensive use of pesticides in agriculture has led to the presence of their residues in soil, water sources, and crops. Among these, the plant growth regulators chlormequat and mepiquat are commonly employed to regulate plant growth.

Temporal metabolomics profiling reveals divergent liver recovery trajectories between single and repeated exhausted exercise stress. Single exhaustive exercise (SEE) demonstrates transient metabolic perturbations resolving within 24 h. In contrast, repeated exhaustive exercise (REE) triggers sustained metabolic remodeling that persists beyond the ...

Galactose tolerance in adults with classical galactosaemia. Considering the gaps
Classical galactosaemia (CG, OMIM 230400) is a rare inborn error of metabolism caused by deficiency of galactose-1-phosphate uridylyltransferase.

Strukturna analiza N-glikanskog profila staničnih linija HepG2 i 1.1B4 HILIC-UPLCFLR-MS/MS metodom [PDF]
Glycosylation is the most common and complex modification of proteins and as such has a key role in shaping the final properties and functions of glycoproteins. Since glycan synthesis is not template-driven, but is instead strongly affected by environmental factors and pathophysiological processes, the diagnostic potential of glycans is being ...
