HLA—DR Antigens in Black North‐Americans and Their Association with HLA—D
Tissue Antigens, 1979A random population of 108 Black North‐Americans, 79 of whom had also been typed for HLA—D in Mixed Leukocyte Culture (MLC), were serologically tested for DRw with Seventh International Histocompatibility Workshop trays. Clusters of B cell alloantisera were identified which defined several DRw antigens.

Structure of HLA-D/DR-BON Antigen
1989The D-DR BON antigen was individualized among the DR blank specificities in 1986. Cells of this specificity were characterized by serologic unreactivity with all the allo-antisera of the 9th Histocompatibility Workshop and as being DQw1-positive. Studies in the French family BON by mixed lymphocyte culture allowed us to isolate a homozygous typing cell

Influence of HLA‐D/DR antigen disparity in CTL generation in vitro
Tissue Antigens, 1983This report describes the influence of HLA‐D/‐DR antigen disparity upon the level of cytotoxicity in allogeneic in vitro cultures.Allogeneic cultures, between unrelated HLA‐D/‐DR full house donors, tested in CML gave three different levels of cytotoxicity, termed weak, intermediate and strong cytotoxicity.

HLA‐D‐Associated Ia‐Like’ Antigens on Human Macrophages
Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, 1977Human macrophages procured by culture of adherent peripheral blood mononuclear cells were investigated for reactivity in complement‐dependent cytotoxicity tests with antisera having specificity for HLA‐D‐associated ‘Ia‐like’ B‐cell antigens. The antisera were found to be cytotoxic for 30%–70% of the macrophages from donors whose B cells were also ...

Dissimilar Effects of Ultraviolet Light on HLA‐D and HLA‐DR Antigens
Tissue Antigens, 1980Since HLA‐DR antigens are closely related to HLA‐D antigens, we studied the effect of low‐dose ultraviolet irradiation on the ability of human lymphocytes to induce a proliferative response in mixed lymphocyte culture (HLA‐D) and on the serologic reactivity of B lymphocyte HLA‐DR antigens.

Generation of discriminatory PL against HLA-D antigens not detected by serology
Human Immunology, 1981A family was studied in which the father and the mother were both homozygous for the HLA-DR antigens. All children responded to the parents in MLC, even though each had a copy of the parental DR antigen, implying that they recognized a difference. When the father or the mother was sensitized in PLT against any child, all siblings could restimulate ...

The proliferative response of sensitized human T lymphocytes to purified protein derivative (PPD) and to trinitrophenyl (TNP)‐conjugated autologous cells in vitro is restricted by self HLA‐D/DR determinants. Here we report that the PPD‐specific response is strictly related to the content of phagocytosing celts (macrophages, M) in the cultures and that ...

HLA–D and –DR antigens on human amniotic fluid cells
Tissue Antigens, 1983Human amniotic fluid cells, known to express HLA–A, –B, and –C antigens, were tested for the presence of lymphocyte‐stimulating antigens (LD or HLA–D) using modifications of the mixed lymphocyte culture (MLC) and primed lymphocyte typing (PLT) tests. Peripheral blood lymphocytes were co‐cultured with various concentrations of allogeneic amniotic fluid ...

T cell clones restricted to "hybrid" HLA-D antigens?
The Journal of Immunology, 1982Abstract The genetics of T lymphocyte/accessory cell interactions were studied by using antigen-specific monoclonal T cell lines from human peripheral blood and X-irradiated non-T cells (E rosette-depleted) as accessory cells. The T cell lines were obtained by expanding single colonies from soft agar-cloned E rosette-positive lymphocytes,

The Frequencies of HLA-D Antigens in the Population of SR Croatia
1986Despite of the significant correlation between the majority of serologicaly defined HLA-DR antigens and HLA-D antigens defined by homozygous typing cells (HTC), the correlation between HLA-Dw6/DRw6 and some newly defined HLA-D/DR antigens is rather low.
